Great guide- covers things not discussed in the camera's manual

I'm really glad I bought this book for 2 reasons. First, it was half the price of the paper book in the store. Second, it's a great guide. I like the way the author tells me how to use the different aspects of the camera to get really good photos. He even gives 'homework' assignments so you can practice. The photos in the book are beautiful, and I like that he tells what settings he used.

    Great photography intro

This is a useful book that doesn't get bogged down in technical details. He explains simply how to use features on your camera and gives "assignments" at the end of the chapters so you can do a hands on test with the concepts. The first chapter will get you started shooting and then you can advance from there. Personally,I flip between chapters depending on what I'm trying to do. The book is easy to read and informative.

Soldier Seemed Very Happy with Book

I mailed this book to a soldier in Afghanistan through the website Books for Soldiers. He sent me a lovely thank you note in appreciation of my gift. I encourage everyone to fulfill one soldier's request for a book. They need us to support them while they are away from home.
