Why can't these guys write the owner's manual in the first place?

While Nikon does an above average job in producing readable owner's manuals (I've owned their N55 and N80 film cameras before finally breaking down and buying their D60.), The Nikon D60 For Dummies is a welcome addition to my library. In fact, I bought the book before I bought the camera! The book is like having your own private tutor giving you tips and tricks to get the most out of your experience. The practical advice that isn't in the owner's manual makes this a VERY worthwhile purchase. I was a fairly experienced amateur photographer before I bought a digital SLR. Even so, I found the book quite useful. Had I been new to SLR photography, it would have been a lifesaver.

    Great book!!

This book is great for anyone with a Nikon D60 whether they are familiar with the camera or brand new to the dslr world. It is put together very well with an ease of use that is fantastic. You can read the whole thing or just read pertinent bits and pieces, whichever suits your needs. It's written in a way that is easy to understand without making you feel like a dummy!! Would recommend to anyone wanting to have an edge with their camera. Definitely worth the money!!
