I really thought this book helped me to learn a lot about real ninjas who exited during the times when Samurai and Shoguns roamed the land. I never really knew that they were used in inflitration missions. They were like the polar opposite of Saumurai where they used anything necessary to get their job done and not require bushido (killing of one own self if they failed, didnt fight with honor, used disquises frequently) instead fights with stealth, using tricks like building some flying devices (gliders) to get into the enemies bases or use disquises (dressing like samurai in attempt to assasinate the enemy shogun) they were vital to wars and unlike samurai with their honor code (which limited what they could do) use trickery to accomplish what the shogon needed. This is a reconmendmended book for those who want to know more about ninjas. The book has many pictures that dispict ninja and their gadetdary (well the ones we know there might be more) the sytles they used (like always we dont know everything) however, those who already know about nija due to reading about them or watching the history channel will find this book to be redundant (since they know so much about the ninja in the first place like i did) still this is the perfect book for all those willing to take the time to learn about ninjas...

I was browsing Barnes and Noble when I happened upon this title and it originaly caught my eye because of the title 'Ninja'. I like ninja and the history of so I decided to by it and I'm glad I did. I is well written and informative. It's deffinately designed for anyone who has intrests in the East or any who like Feudal Japan.

I found this book to be by far the best from what I have read about the ninja. It gets very in depth about not only the history of the ninja but down to their training practices and every day life. For any ninja or asian culture enthusiast it is a definate must!
