About the Author

The creator of Nitro Cruzin, Brian Hoffsmith, is also the father of Nitro Kevin, a young man who has had cerebral palsy since birth. This is the author's debut book, "The Story of Nitro Cruzin," which details his experiences trying to give his adored son, Kevin Hoffsmith, a better life.
Germany's West Berlin is where the author was born in 1963. Veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served for four years. He later worked for the Arizona Department of Corrections for 22 years, retiring as a sergeant. After which he worked at a hospital for another 8 years. He is currently Kevin's full-time carer.
Drag racing has always played a significant role in his life, and his son, Nitro Kevin, is exemplified by this.
