i was just thinking it would be like every other book of the Bible, but this one is different,i have come across somethings that once looked up made so much sense to me. i have taken my time in reading this and found that i want to keep going after one chapter. this is the book in the Bible every one reading the Bible for the first time should read first.

This is a good introduction to the Gospel of John for people who are new to the Bible or New Testament. Important issues relevant for older Christians are not included in this introduction but are available in more advanced commentaries on John's Gospel.

Just another Bible - I don't see where this has any "notes" that could be close to a devotional.

Although you should read the Bible, it does not guantee that you will go to Heaven. Only Jesus can save you.
