A challenging and fun new word puzzle

Niwuzzles is the latest in a line of puzzles designed to exercise your brain and improve your vocabulary. Practical applications aside, this game is fun. This is the first edition of what promises to be a long line of Niwuzzle volumes, and in my opinion, Ellis is off to a great start. The puzzles in this edition ease you into the world of Niwuzzles, growing increasingly difficult as you progress. The puzzle on the final page is a sizzler, challenging even the most seasoned player. I'll admit I attempted this one first thinking it would be a breeze, but I was quickly humbled.

The premise is simple: each box contains a nine-letter word. The gamer must untangle the word by tracing its path through the puzzle. Each letter connects to the next, following either a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal path, but never jumping over or skipping a box. There's an additional scramble puzzle at the bottom of each page that will form a mystery word representing the puzzle's theme. While the puzzles increase in difficulty, Ellis never uses terms that are impossibly obscure, balancing word difficulty and letter paths to challenge the player. There's over 50 puzzles here to keep you busy for some time.

If you're looking for a puzzle to work your brain, have fun passing the time, or give to a friend, I highly recommend Niwuzzles. Good luck!
