From The CriticsReviewer: Harold O. Bernard, MD (Meharry Medical College)
Description: This book is a comprehensive review for the USMLE review process. It is well organized and broken into specialty areas.
Purpose: It is designed to assist students in reviewing for examinations while focusing on examination format.
Audience: The target audience is students.
Features: The clinical years of medicine are covered, namely, internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, OB/GYN, family medicine, and occupational medicine. Detailed explanations of right and wrong choices are included and students are given a good basis of understanding the concepts. Heavy print separates answers from explanations. I find that there is not enough representation of x-ray and ultrasound.
Assessment: I highly rate both the physical appearance and worthiness of this book.
