    Yeah

Maybe they laughed because it's supposed to be funny? I laughed... Anyways, I like it because it helps put vocab into relevant contexts. It sure as heck beats any other way to enhance your vocab. Unless, of course, you're the type that likes opening the dictionary and pointing to a word with your eyes closed. I'd much rather learn it like this in a classroom than what I do now. 'And that's what I have to say about that'

I love how some people have nothing better to do than waste time poking fun at other ignorant people about a barnes and noble book review. Congratulations everyone.

    Outstanding!

In middle and highschool, i frequently struggled with vocabulary and the meanings of words. I would constantly ask 'what does this word mean?' etc. 'No Fear' helped me get through this problem, and now in college, no more embarrasing questions about vocab! This definitely gave me no fear in vocabulary

    Just a reviewer(Please spell correctly...)

It's an okay book. It can help, and I'd recommend it to people who're trying to boost whatever vocabulary skills they have. Also, it should be pointed out that when you're correcting people's spelling errors, you might try not to misspell any words yourself.

    A well designed vocabulary approach

I think this book is well designed especially for people who have trouble using a new word in the correct context. I teach developmental English at a college with several students who use English as a second language. I am going to require it as a text next semester. I like the way it is organized into units. I would like to see one developed for college students in the same manner that this one addresses high school students.

    Interesting Description

OK book, but isn't the description slightly deflating for the purchaser? They're described as those who have the information laid out in front of them and they still cannot comprehend it...No need to flatter your customers....

I enjoyed reading your review - NOT

this book is great . . . especially if you are trying to learn english but probably a bit to hard for if you are in kindergarTen. (notice the t not d). I would recmomend this book to anyone from the ages of 12-16, it probably will not be helpful if you are any older than 30 years old unless you are tying to boost your vocabulary. I printed off the sarcastic review on this page for my fifteen year old and he didnt laugh at all. i gave it to my five year old and he even did the same thing!! i decided to flush it down the toilet bowl but it wouldn't go down so I just burned it in the fire place . . . the fire spat it back out again and is now suffering from serious mental health problems. Yes, this whole story is made up but is more genuine than one other review on this page.

    no fear english vocab

i find this book helpful for those who wants to build their vocabulary. i am not suprised at who ever said the book was outstanding sarcastically because i don't think a 2 year old would even attempt to flush a book down the toilet not to talk of an adult with a brain and a 15 year old son. word of advice: next time, try recycling or even better, give it to someone who's not as 'smart' as you. nice story (lady with the 15 year old son).

    Nice one

How did you burn it after it was in the toilet? It must have been quite wet. If you waited for it to dry, you must have a lot of time on your hands. Maybe you should invest that time in your children's vocabulary skills.

    Its was GREAT!!! . . . not

this book is great . . . especially if you are trying to learn english or are in kindergarden. it contains a wide variety of very sophisticated words such as 'basketball' and 'button'. i would recmomend this book to anyone from the ages of 2-4, it probably will not be helpful if you are any older than four years old unless you are tying to learn english. i bought this book for my fifteen year old and he laughed after reading the first few pages. i gave it to my five year old and he even did the same thing!! i decided to flush it down the toilet bowl but it wouldn't go down so I just burned it in the fire place . . . it made a good fire so thats maybe something you can use it for!!
