About the Author

Dr. Mary Ann Block is an international expert on the treatment of attention and behavior problems without drugs and a recognized healthcare leader for her natural and practical approach to children`s health and learning as well as for the Autism Spectrum. Dr. Block is the author of the top-selling books, No More Ritalin and No More Antibiotics: Treating Ear and Respiratory Infections The Natural Way, and her new book, No More ADHD. Dr. Block was compelled to go to medical school at the age of 39 to save her daughter after doctors made the child ill with inappropriate use of psychiatric drugs for a bladder infection. Today her daughter is a healthy adult as a result of her mother`s efforts. As Medical Director of The Block Center in the Dallas area, an international clinic for adults and children with chronic health problems, Dr. Block now offers other parents the same kind of health care she desperately needed for her own child.

    Making sense

This books makes a lot of sense about practical things we can do besides just popping legal pills. I'm not arguing about if there is ever a need for medicine. I think there are many people who are too quick to medicate rather than seek more sensible solutions. Sometimes this is hard to explain to a child especially when several children in his school are taking medication. The children's book which I recommend helps children understand some of the points made in No More ADHD: 10 Steps to Improve Your Child's Attention and Behavior without Drugs! Name calling, self-control, diet, and exercise are addressed in an entertaining story in the children's book.
