Yeast infections are a nightmare for anyone who has to endure just one - let alone repeated infections. A recent round of antibiotics resulted in a yeast infection on my feet that I didn't want to treat with traditional medicine. I wanted to find natural ways to prevent it in the first or treat it naturally if I wasn't able to prevent it. This book covered both areas well for me,and I found several "new" ways to tweak my daily habits (food intake, etc.) that I think are going to help. But in the meantime, I managed to get rid of the yeast infection on my feet by using the vinegar recommendation from this book. I was pleasantly surprised how simple and inexpensive the solution was. Great book!

I started looking to update my knowledge on yeast infections and ran across this neat little book that definitely provided me both information and solutions that I didn't know about. It saved me tons of time researching online & sifting and sorting all the conflicting information on the web. Thanks for the helpful tips - they will definitely be put to good use!

This book is most definitely a keeper for me. It was really informative and taught me more than I'd actually expected to learn. I really appreciate how the author presented her material--short and sweet, but straightforward and knowledgeable. The information on each treatment type and option was really helpful, especially the listing of the different side effects and consequences. The glossary and recipes at the end were a pleasant surprise and a definite plus.

I'm so happy I got this book. First off, I had no idea that men and babies could get yeast infections. I thought only women could get them. The writer goes into detail on all the different types of yeast infections, how they occur and where they thrive, as well as how to prevent them/ diminish symptoms. She also lists home remedies that you can try--some I never would've dreamed of--as well as what foods to eat and what foods to avoid. The writer uses clear and concise writing, and although this is about a medical condition, she uses layman terms so that anyone can understand.

This is a good book that gives crucial, important information about yeast infections for women, but also for men and children. Most women have endured having a nasty yeast infection sometime in their life, and it is important for them to know the cause, symptoms, and treatment. I did not realize that my taking birth control pills can upset my balance of good bacteria and yeast and something for me to consider as in the past, I was always trying different types of birth control pill to find the right fit for me. I did not know that this could make me more susceptible to yeast infections. Also, my cousins' baby had thrush when she was just a few weeks old and I would come over to help. This book helped me learn the symptoms to look for in the mouth, such as a white coating in the tongue, and that it can be quite common for babies to have thrush. We would treat the thrush with what the doctor prescribed, but the baby kept crying and crying. I did not realize that we should have kept most objects away from her mouth, although we did clean the objects we put in her mouth though. In the future, I will know what to do about babies and thrush, which would be a great help as I'm surrounded by babies. Very good information. BTW, it has 55 pages on mine, not sure why another reviewer says 30 pages, but it really does't matter. It's jam-packed with information rather than hundreds of pages with fluff.

    Very Informative!

This book was an informative and detailed review of yeast infections, a common problem among women. It outlines the symptoms and explains how yeast infections are caused by an imbalance of the Candida fungus-a fact that I was not aware of until I read this book. I was also surprised to learn that yeast infections also effect men and children! This book dedicates an entire chapter to various treatment options. I was especially impressed with the sample diet described in Chapter 8. Commercials lead us to believe that the only treatment option is medication when in fact there are many home remedies that can prevent yeast infections from reoccurring. The only food that I have heard helps treat and prevent yeast infections is yogurt, but in fact there are many other foods that help prevent yeast infections. There are also foods that one should avoid to prevent reoccurring yeast infections. This was uprising to me because previously I thought that medication was the only treatment. The author highlights a lifestyle-change approach to preventing yeast infections from returning which seems much more realistic for a long-term solution to a reoccurring problem. Overall, I found this book very informative but far from boring. I would suggest this to anybody looking to understand yeast infections and how to remove the curse of yeast infections from their life.

    Don't waste your money...

This booklet doesn't have anything here you can't find on the net. It's 30 pages long, if I'd known that I wouldn't have bought it.
