My Review: I just really love the way Katie Reus writes romantic suspense. This book takes place in the heart of Miami. Lizzy works at one of the top security firms in the country, but she doesn't want her boss or any of his over-protective brothers to know how truly messed up her brother Benny is. A few months ago, she broke up with Porter because he couldn't accept her brother's presence in her life. So when Benny calls for help, Lizzy rushes to his aid and headlong into some serious trouble with the Miami crime boss. Luckily, Porter had a feeling that something wasn't right, so he had a tracker on her. This book is nonstop heartstopping action from page one and I really did not ever want to put it down. Such a mistake to start this book on one of my busiest days of this year...hehe. This was a different type of relationship from what you normally find in romance novels. Porter and Lizzy dated for a couple of months before she broke it off, but they were never intimate. That happened a few months before the book takes place. They may not be an item anymore, but that doesn't change the fact that they are incredibly drawn to each other. As it becomes obvious, that Lizzy is in incredible danger, Porter refuses to leave her side....and yes, he's a sexy marine. *sigh* Really, really good chemistry here! There's never any doubt who the bad guys are in this book. What is in doubt or unknown is why Lizzy insists on protecting Benny even though he screws up over and over again. I had an idea, but when it came out, I have to admit, I was shocked. I love that in a book! Overall this was just a fabulous read. 45,000 words is just an awesome size. It was enough of a read that I was fully satisfied with the story, but not so long that I became entirely bogged down with a huge, long book. It was good!!!

I absolutely loved this book! This is a great series by Katie Reus. Porter was so great!! Where can I find a guy like that! Lizzy was great, too! I loved that we were able to get the background and history on these two and that made them really connect to me since they had previously dated. I liked how loyal Lizzy was to her brother. I also liked how Porter just couldn't walk away and was patient with Lizzy. I have read this book twice and it is a definite re-read for me. I am big fan of Katie's and plan on buying more of Katie's books!

Weak story, weak character development, l just did not care about the outcome. The ending felt rushed and just plain weak!

## Terrific read. Unfortunately I read this series out of order, but I'm glad I doubled back. This book was much longer than the other two I read which allowed us to get to know the characters better. The heroine was great as was the hero. The suspense was fun with a small twist which I love. Worth reading for sure.

First book by Katie Reus and I am hooked! This is my first book by Katie Reus and I am glad she was recommended to me. She is an author I will continue to have on my TBR list! Her writing was very smooth and made the story easy to follow. It also made it go very quickly because you wanted to find out what would happen next. In this story Lizzy is trying to protect her brother Benny from a dangerous man, Orlando, but turns out Orlando is actually after Lizzy and used her brother Benny as bait. In the opening scene we see both Lizzy and Benny in quite a pickle with Orlando, but Porter (the guy Lizzy dated briefly and brother of her boss) is able to help them both escape. From there, Orlando isn’t happy and doesn’t leave Lizzy alone. She and Porter are then on the run from Orlando and his gang members for hire through most of the story. What I liked about this story was that the hero and heroine were together for the almost the entire book. I like watching how they handle the running from gang members and near-death experiences all while trying to figure out why they stopped dating in the first place. There are some serious sparks between the two. I also always enjoy stories with families in them and it was great to see how Porter’s brothers stepped up and helped out Porter and Lizzy with no questions asked. I did not expect the ending with Lizzy’s brother, so that was quite interesting! Katie did a wonderful job with the couple of intimate scenes between Lizzy and Porter. They were sensual, full of emotion and really fit the characters. This book was full of suspense, action, family, friendship, romance and love. I highly recommend this book if you like romantic suspense and I look forward to reading the other books in the series.

This is the first book in Katie Reus’ RED STONE SECURITY series and she certainly started it off with a bang. Elizabeth Martinez works for Red Stone Security but has many secrets she does not want anyone to learn about, especially Porter Caldwell. Her biggest problem and downfall is her brother Benny, and when her and Porter briefly dated he spoke his mind and Elizabeth didn’t want anyone coming in between her and her brother. He gets himself into trouble and always calls on Elizabeth to help him out. Elizabeth feels she owes him for something that happened in the past and always drop everything to help him. But this last time he calls Elizabeth, he drags her into a world of trouble. Now she has a notorious crime lord after her and he’ll stop at nothing to get her. Porter Caldwell has been secretly keeping an eye on Elizabeth. He rushes in to rescue her from the madman her brother is involved with and decides that he’s not going to let her push him away anymore. He never should have let her push him away the first time and he will not let it happen again. This is a short read but it’s packed with non-stop action and a great romance. I definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves romantic suspense. I give No One To Trust 4.5 out of 5 stars

A romantic suspense sure to get your heart kicking! Elizabeth Martinez broke it off with ex-boyfriend Porter Caldwell after only a month because he didn’t approve of her always bailing her brother, Benny, out of trouble. But Elizabeth’s whole family has turned their backs on him and she’s the only one Benny has left, plus he helped her when no one else would so Elizabeth refuses to give up on him. When Elizabeth finds herself in the middle of a dangerous drug lord’s dealings though, thanks to her brother, she is shocked to see Porter racing to her rescue. Porter regrets letting Lizzy go in the first place and has been keeping an eye out for her ever since. He’s not about to make the same mistake twice and when a local gangs sets out for Elizabeth’s blood he is determined to keep her closer than ever. Porter is an ex-marine and his family owns a security firm so you know he is going to be all alpha. Sexy, stubborn, protective and yes, sometimes domineering he’ll do anything and everything to keep Lizzy safe but he doesn’t suffocate her which I loved. Sometimes alpha male characters can get a bit stifling. On the run and hiding out from place to place, Porter and Lizzy realize that the chemistry between them still sizzles. Lizzy is loyal almost to a fault but strong and smart. I really enjoyed both of these main characters as well as the secondary ones, I hope to see more from the latter in the future! Though the attraction is still there between Lizzy & Porter, with yummy tension and smoking love scenes, so are their past issues and it was great to see those worked through instead of just pushed aside for the sake of a HEA. Suspense is heaped onto every page with Benny’s dealings, Lizzy’s past, criminal & political intrigue, gang violence and more. No One to Trust moved at a fast pace with lots of action leaving you to wonder, what will happen next, after each page. All leading up to a shocking conclusion that thrilled! Fun and believable characters with a fast-paced and exciting story line No One to Trust is a recommended read to romance and romantic suspense fans everywhere. Another great story from author Katie Reus, whom I adore!

This has been on my TBR pile for a while. As a matter of fact, I'm not even sure when/who I discovered this author through, but I liked the sound of the series and grabbed several to read. Last year, I read the author's alter ego, Savannah Stuart's Cresent Moon series and enjoyed it. So I figured this would be a great read too. Yeah, you know how certain things can dump you right out of a story? I found one in this book that just kept nagging at me and kept me from fully enjoying the book. So Elizabeth Martinez is 25 years old with a PhD in Computer Science. Okay, that's a stretch, but possible. Next we hear that she has worked at Red Stone Security for years, moving up the ranks to become head of her department. *head whiplash* Come again say what? I'm sorry. I can allow one or the other. Especially since there was no mention of Lizzy being ubersmart, graduating high school at 15, or being a computer savant. Plus she comes from a privileged background, and has a busy social life including many charity functions. I mean, come on, really? This screams Mary Sue to me. I didn't have as many problems with Porter, but then again, I was so aggravated with Lizzy I was afraid to look too deeply at him. The funny thing is, I liked the overall storyline and plot. Most of what didn't work for me wasn't even vital to the story. Nothing was really done with the computer aspects, or her "years" of experience at work. They were almost throw away details, especially since the vast majority of the story is Lizzy and Porter on the run. I am torn about what to give this book and whether to continue the series. On one hand, they really weren't vital to the storyline, and I have a couple more books on hand. On the other hand, it did throw me out of the story and I kept looking for instances where the age thing didn't make sense. So 2 'It was Okay' stars for the story and placing the series back on the TBR shelf.

Mystery, Intrigue, Explosive Danger, Non-Stop Action and Sizzling HOT Romance!!!!!! NO ONE TO TRUST is the debut novel in Katie Reus' Red Stone Security Series. I listened to the audible edition of it and it was an electrifying thriller! The characters are well-written and fully developed and the plot is solidly crafted even though it's a relatively quick listen at just over four hours. The premise of the series revolves around the Red Stone Security firm.  My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club.

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 REVIEW:  When Elizabeth Martinez brother calls for help Elizabeth is always willing to drop everything and everyone to run to his side.  But this time Benny has pulled Elizabeth into a very dangerous situation that could possible leave them both dead.    This was really good book.  I enjoyed the tension between Elizabeth and Porter the whole time.  I really want to know more about the rest of the Caldwell brothers and am looking forward to the next book in this series.  Since this books was given to me for review on Audio I need to address that part of the review.  I normally like an narrator that can tell me a story not read me a story.  Pyper was a little more of the reading of the story then telling of the story.  But even with that I did enjoy listening to this book on audio.  I would suggest that you head over to audible (or where you buy your audio books) and listen to a sample of No One To Trust and make sure that Pyper is the right narrator for you.  Disclaimer:  I received a complimentary copy of the book from Katie Reus & Audible in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

I think this is just the beginning of a fantastic new series for me and I can't believe it took me this long to know it! The Miami scenario was wonderful - or what I saw of it. I wish I was there now, considering this cold weather. LOL Seriously, the plot was very good, with Elizabeth and her brother being threatened by a criminal and Porter, her ex-almost lover, protecting her. This was a non-stop action story, with a lot of shots and kick-ass! Porter and Lizzy had a strong, hot and sweet relationship. His brothers are also very, very interesting guys! ;)

Can I just say how much I love these romantic suspense books! I have completely fallen for this new genre. Katie Reus has written a wonderfully entertaining book. Full of suspense, romance and adventure, this book had me hooked immediately. I enjoyed how the leading female character was strong, independent but also level headed. Although bad choices were made by her here and there, she was determined not to let anyone make her choose between her family and them. The story line was smooth with no areas of slowing down. It was a great non-stop exciting book.
