Another great book from Lynette Eason!

I just love this author - her books never disappoint. I pre-ordered No One to Trust and could hardly wait for its release date 12-24-13 (it was like a great Christmas present to myself). Ms. Eason's stories are so fast-paced, it is hard to put her books down. The end of each chapter forces you to continue on, even if there are a million other things you should be doing. To me, that is the sign of a great book! The relationships between the various characters were fascinating to watch unfold, the subtle references here and there to faith are inspiring. The twist and turns make you wonder how authors come up with these things! All of this excitement without profanity/sex. I feel that is another sign of a great author - when they don't need to use those things to "sell" their books. Anout 286 pages on my Nook, don't miss this first book of what is going to be a fantastic new series from Lynette Eason - I can't wait for Nowhere to Turn - Book 2 in the Hidden Identity Series. Thank you for another great read Lynette Eason!

No One to Trust reminds me why I write romantic suspense. WOW! pretty much sums it up. From the first page to literally the last word on the last page, the book it tightly plotted, full of surprises, and creatively written. Lynette Eason is off to a great start with this new series called Hidden Identity.

Here’s a bit of the details:

Summer Abernathy wakes up one morning to find her husband missing, three men in her home intent on finding him, and the life she’s been living based on a lie. Which Kyle Abernathy did she marry? The computer programmer she met in line at the bank? Or the one who was apparently using that image as a cover story?
The search for her husband–and answers–takes Summer ever deeper into a world of organized crime where people are used one moment and discarded the next. And with her deepest relationship of trust already shattered, Summer doesn’t know who to believe.

And when it says “discarded” lives, they mean it. Just when I warmed up to a character…bang, gone, or something happens to them that causes heart pangs. And speaking of heart pangs, the romance thread of the story is a real heart-wrenching story line. The author carries the conflict through and never makes it forced, but keeps the emotions real and human, betrayal being one of the main themes in the book.

I give this story 5 stars, and am looking forward to book two: Nowhere to Turn this fall.

*Thank you to Revell, the publisher, for sending me a copy for my honest opinion of the book. I will cherish it as a keeper.

This is the first book I have read by Lynette Eason. Let me just say it won't be my last. Wow. I have found a new author who had me up way past my bedtime.

So many twists and turns in this book. I was grasping the book like my life depended on it as I flipped the pages.

Summer (the heroine) is just a regular woman, loving her husband, doing her job and then everything changes one morning when a gun is pointed at her head. Her life is turned upside down and she finds out her husband has been lying to her, the one thing she asked him never to do.

Her heart has been broken so many times in the past and she lives in fear of that happening again.

Kyle...ur...David...just wants to protect his wife. He is an awesome hero and will do whatever it takes to save the love of his life.

Just a great story. If you like suspense you will love this book, I have no doubt.

A copy of this book was given to me by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

    Couldn't put it down! !!

I just couldn't put it down! This story, filled with suspense, love, and tests of faith, is definitely worth the read! It had me on the edge of my seat! I definitely had a hard time guessing Who was betraying the lovely couple.
Lynette Eason's faith infused books give me the opportunity to read the suspense genre that also has the ability to inspire.

I absolutely love this Author! and all of her books!

Can't wait until fall for book 2!!!

    Highly Enjoyable

We only know others by the person they present to us. As much as you think you know someone, you can never really know how they have lived when you are not watching, as Summer discovers one morning. This is a clean romantic suspense that is thoroughly enjoyable. The reader can relate to the characters and identify with their struggles and choices. While this is a pleasant read and I definitely appreciated the Christian aspect, the suspense did not grip me, and it seemed slightly predictable. Readers who enjoy less tense suspense will enjoy No One to Trust.

I received an ARC from NetGalley.

If you woke up to a gun in your face held by a very not nice man

If you woke up to a gun in your face held by a very not nice man who asked you for something you didn't know existed and then said your husband might not be who he said he was? What would you do if a federal agent showed up at your door? And what would you do if you didn't know who you could trust, but knew you had to trust someone?

This was Summer Abernathy's day. Her husband is missing and may not be who she thinks he is. She has 8 hours to find something that she has no clue about, and she has two very young clients who are counting on her to save them from their abusive daddy.

My review of No One to Trust by Lynette Eason? LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE

I had so much fun reading this book. She had me hopping and guessing all through the book. Loved that there were twists and turns right up to the end. Loved the story of trust and forgiveness and trust and forgiveness and trust and forgiveness....that was woven again and again throughout the story.

My one con. There was one scene at the back of the book (don't worry, I won't tell you which one), that I found entirely unbelievable. It had to do with something Shannon carried with her through her adventure. I don't recall it ever being mentioned and I just didn't see how she would have been able to keep it with her the whole time, but maybe that's the not so closeted cynic in me.

Anyway, absolutely loved this book and will continue reading other books by Ms. Eason such as her Women of Justice or Deadly Reunions Series or whatever book #2 will be in this Hidden Identity Series.

Lynette Eason has definitely become a “go to” kind of author for me.  What does that mean?  It means
that anytime I want to read a great suspense book, I know that picking up her latest book will bring
immense satisfaction.  Her latest book, the first in a new series, makes that statement truer than ever.

Summer has just found out that her idea marriage is anything but idea.  Her husband isn’t the man that
she thought he was.  And not simply not “what”, but “who”.  Finding out that your husband, and now you,
are part of the Witness Protection Program throws her world into all kinds of chaos.  Her husband has
valuable information and the criminals will stop at nothing to get this information from him.  As they are
moved around from place to place to thwart any danger against them, Summer begins her own
investigation of just who her husband really is.  Will there marriage be beyond repair?  Can she forgive
him for all of the mistrust? Can they make it through this alive?  PICK UP THIS BOOK AND FIND OUT
     FOR YOURSELF!!

This first chapter does a great job laying out the groundwork for what you are about to witness through
the rest of the book.  The suspense and adventure never stops as the characters are constantly on the
run.  It’s interesting to see how the characters struggle through this tough time and the loss of trust and
how the author is able to show how they can get their trust to grow again.

Is this a "Man’s Book"?   This has a great amount of suspense and intrigue with some great insight into
couples that may struggle through tough times.  I would heartily recommend this book to any man
looking for a great suspense novel.

Summer Abernathy, the main character, is no fainting female. She is intelligent, brave and capable. Her husband has a secret that could get both of them killed by it doesn't stop her from doing everything she can to save him. Even when those secrets rip her heart out.
If you love suspense, you'll love this book. Every scene in every chapter puts you in a cliff-hanging, nail-biting place. And every scene will draw you deeper and deeper into the story. You've got know what's going to happen to them!
    On her website, Eason says
"It’s my goal to write fiction that will keep you in suspense--infinitely!"
She definitely met that goal with No One to Trust!

Lynette Eason's latest series, Hidden Identity, is off to a fantastic start! What a great story! It's different than the norm right off the bat because the not-so-typical 'love interests' are already married, but Summer finds out quickly that she really doesn't know her computer programmer husband at all. He's disappears, and when she sees him again and finds out who he really is, she has to forget much of what she thought she knew and decide if she still loves him and if she can ever trust him again.

This is a fast paced, action packed story that you don't want to miss.

There's more twist and turns in this beautifully written book then the roads leading up a Mountain top. So hang on and for a ride of a life time for sure!!!! See if you can keep up.

Summer doesn't know who she's married to anymore, after  some mean men wake her from a deep sleep  with a gun pushed in her face asking questions about Kyle and will do anything to get their hands on him even kill whom ever gets in their way.

Summer is an attorney, she had been working on a very delicate case. One that's close to her heart. She not going to let anything or anyone stand in her way to be there to help her clients. So bad guys watch out you just might have picked the wrong gal!!

As this story escalates you will be wondering who Kyle and Summer can truly trust and you'll keep turning the pages as fast as you can to find out, just like I did. When you find out it will have you'll shake your head and go oooh my gosh. This story will have you in the dark for along time, like me ---- no cheating now and skipping pages or you'll miss a lot of great action that takes place all the way through this story.

You'll find the CIA, the FBI, the cops and Rangers all kind of people, all kind of bad guys you can think of all rolled into this story. It will have you tide in knots. It has more action then you'll ever expect.

I recommend this book highly if you love a lot of action, thrills and suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat, then this book is for you.

    I. LOVE. LYNETTE EASON. BOOKS!! I was thrilled to learn she was writing a new series and No One to Trust is the 1st book in that series. One word describes this book…WOW!! just WOW!!

Summer and Kyle are happily married. If there was one thing Summer made clear when they were married, never EVER lie to her. Little did she know, Kyle wasn't even Kyle, and everything about her husband as she knew it…was a lie! One day, a knock on the door changes everything for Summer. Her life, her marriage, her security, and potentially her future!

Kyle is in the WITSEC and is a VERY WANTED MAN!! He is wanted by a very powerful, very evil man, who seems to have countless hit men and connections on the inside from the police all the way up to the government. Which explains the title…Trust No one!

Lynette takes us on a wild ride and if I even began to think I had something figured out, I was mistaken every time! I love those books, don't you??!!

If you love to read Romantic Suspense novels, this one is sure to be a favorite!! I highly highly recommend  it !!!

This is book one in a new series by Lynette Eason called Hidden Identity. This first book had a different flavor than her past books. The romance element was taken out and it was purely suspense. I loved it! It was super fast paced, character twists that you didn't see coming and full of redemption. Ms. Eason did a great job keeping the reader captivated, kept the plot plugging along at a fast clip and did it all without a love-blossoming sub-plot.

If you enjoy clean suspenseful books, you will enjoy this one. The one part I don't like is that the next book in the series doesn't come out until the fall of 2014!

Every time I read a Lynette Eason novel, I think it's her best yet, and No One to Trust is no exception. I read this with my heart in my throat! Eason is a master at romantic suspense, pacing the action and danger perfectly and coupling them with relatable character portrayals. No sentence is wasted in this briskly moving and nail-biting story. My only frustration is that I couldn't put it down so I finished it way too quickly. If only she could write as rapidly as I could read! Five stars - don't miss this one!

No One to Trust, Hidden Identity Book 1 by Lynette Eason No One

No One to Trust, Hidden Identity Book 1 by Lynette Eason
No One to Trust is a fantastic fast paced read that is sure to keep you at the edge of your seat. If you love Christian, Romance, or Suspense Fiction this is the book for you. It is a full of action, suspense, faith, and betrayal. No one is who they seem to be. Summer Abernathy wakes up to a nightmare. Her husband is missing, not who he says he is and a madman is trying to kill her. Kyle or David wakes up in the hospital knowing he has to get to his wife because his past has caught up to him. Together they fight to stay alive. David is part of the Witness Protection Program and his cover has been blown. He has deceived the woman he loves and is ready to fight for his life and wife. Read No One to Trust to see if their marriage can survive the lies and betrayal.

The author Lynette Eason has created believable characters, mystery around every corner and throws in unbreakable faith. I was able to read this book in a few hours because I could not put it down. If it were possible to give this book higher than five stars I would.

I want to give a high-five to the author Lynette Eason and publisher Revell for bringing compelling Christian books that are entertaining and give hope to the reader with stories of faith. Revell provided me with this book in exchange for my honest review and I am so grateful for their generosity.

Every time I read a book by Lynette Eason, I declare it to be my favorite. But I really do think that No One To Trust is my favorite ... at least so far! In the opening pages, we learn that Kyle is hiding some major secrets, and Summer's life is threatened. As Kyle begins revealing his past to Summer, they must run from the people who are threatening their lives. Can Summer trust Kyle? Will he be able to win her heart again? And more importantly, will they live to tell about it?

What an amazing book! No One To Trust is an incredibly fast-paced book, and I loved every minute I spent with it! It seemed that every time I thought things were wrapping up, something else happened that pushed the story even further. At times, the story was reminiscent of a TV show that was popular several years back, The Unit, which I loved! It was fun to have the male protagonist—and his partners—play such a large role in the drama. I also thought it was a unique twist to have the romance storyline be centered around a married couple. It's definitely a bit different than most romance novels, but it played out really well.

Overall, I loved this book and cannot wait to read the rest of the series! If you're looking for an intense, suspenseful, you will love No One To Trust by Lynette Eason! [5 stars]

Eason offers readers a unique thriller to keep you reading late

Eason offers readers a unique thriller to keep you reading late into the night!

Oh. My. Goodness! This is the second title from Eason I've read and it blew me away. I wasn't quite in love with the other book of hers I read, When the Heart Stops, but I decided to give her another chance and I'm glad I did! I am totally impressed with No One to Trust as far as suspense/mystery/thriller titles go in the Christian genre. Every time I speculated how the rest of the novel would go, I was sorely mistaken.

The lead characters, a married couple named Kyle and Summer Abernathy, were a delight to read about, despite the obvious conflict and danger in their lives. Summer possesses a strength greater than I think she realizes, and her spunk helped her through all the challenges. She didn't wail and whine and complain like most women would, but rather was strong and handled everything going around her well, given the circumstances. I think it is for this reason that I like her character and personality so much.

Kyle embodies the hero most readers are familiar with, a man with a military background who now works/helps law enforcement, or as in Kyle's case, works as a C.I. Also as you have probably guessed, he naturally has run into some trouble. I appreciated the respect and love he showed his wife especially when they were at odds. I wish I could elaborate on what I mean, but... you'll have to read the book for yourself.

I am really, truly, glad I signed up to review No One to Trust. I simply love to curl up with a good mystery every now and then. As a final note, I really liked the theme of forgiveness and the comparison to a well known story in the Bible. I highly recommend this book to readers ages fifteen/sixteen and older and to fans of Irene Hannon and Dani Pettrey. As far as content goes, the villain is a real creep (he's obsessed with snakes. Disturbing, much?), but we don't see too much of him. There are several fights between good guys and bad and then people are shot and beaten.

I received a copy of this book from Revell in return for an honest review of my opinions, which I have done. Thanks!

Lynette Eason takes readers on a thrill ride with the first book

Lynette Eason takes readers on a thrill ride with the first book in her Hidden Identity series, No One to Trust. With a high speed pace and so many secrets and lies to untangle, this one is a suspense lover's dream. Eason is able to not only entertain readers with the secret identity of Kyle Abernathy, but also teach a lesson about the importance of truth and honesty and where to place ones trust. Eason's trademark short chapters, surprising twists are present in this one in high doses and readers will be on the edge of their seats from start to finish.

    What I liked:

I loved Summer, she was such a good lead character. Her world is being completed turned on it's head, yet she hangs in there and does what she has to do. I liked the fact that Eason makes this story all about truth and trust. Summer has been fed a pack of lies here and she has a hard time sorting through all of it, but throughout she knows she loves this man no matter who he is. She stood her ground and kept her faith as the basis of everything she did. She was strong and courageous and such a good heroine. I took an instant liking to her and really pulled for her to be able to figure this all out.

I was on the fence about Kyle/David for awhile here. I understand that he needed to have been involved with these terrible, terrible people in order for the story to work. But I ask myself a time or two how someone could get involved with pure evil. How he could lead a completely double life and not tell is wife, who he obviously loves any of this. Even if it was a WITSEC issue, I don't know if I could have kept all of that to myself knowing that the person I loved was in danger. But when it came down to it, he loved her and he was trying to get past a dark time in his life when he wasn't doing the right thing ad I admired that about his character.

One of the things that gave me the heebie jeebies about this book was the fact that it was believable. We don't want to think about these kinds of things happening in the real world, but it's obvious that this one could have been a real headline. The villain was about as evil a character as I have seen in any of Eason's books to date. He just exuded cruelty and his penchant for snakes was a bit on the creepy side. Altogether that made it a little hard to digest because of the reality factor. Eason did a fantastic job of driving that point home.

The pace was sooooo fast. I loved every second of it. The short chapters remind me of one of the greats in the genre, James Patterson. His chapters are really short to and boy does it work. It works for Eason to here, driving the reader to keep reading. You just have to know where Summer and Kyle for from here. I loved the preview of the next book in the back of this one as well, because it kind of starts you out on another break neck speed journey and then boom... it's over. Can't wait to read it.

    What I didn't like:

There wasn't anything I didn't like about this one. It will most certainly appeal to the Christian Inspirational crowd, but it will also cross the barrier and make the romantic suspense bunch take notice. Eason is a fantastic writer and she is certainly in her stride right now, with three great series'.

    Bottom Line:

If you like romantic suspense, you can't afford to miss this one. It's one of the best I've read in a while.
