CONTENT WARNING: Due to adult sexual situations and language, this novel may not be appropriate for readers under 18.

If you are looking for an intense, passionate love so wrong it is right, a story about losing your way but clawing desperately at any chance to find your way back, about hanging on to your last shred of sanity and trusting someone enough to let go of your fears, look no further. No One's Angel's angel is a New Adult (NA) Contemporary Romance about a girl learning to fight back and a boy learning to let go.

Tess used to spend more hours than she’d care to admit playing her favorite computer game, using the nickname Angel. She could pretend her life was different, and she could pretend Arion was just a friend. But a girl needs more to keep her warm at night than pixels, and she traded her virtual heaven for a real-life hell. Now she’s on the run from a past she won’t talk about, and the only place she has to go is the doorstep of the friend she’s never actually met.

When Angel disappeared from their nightly games, it nearly destroyed Arion. He threw himself into work and women, but he can’t help knowing the one-night stands will never compare to the angel who haunts his dreams. At first, when she shows up soaking wet and scared-shitless on his doorstep, he thinks his prayers have been answered.

But the more Arion tries to keep Angel close, the more her fear drives her away. If they are ever going to have a chance for a future, they’ll first have to deal with the past that hasn’t forgotten her any more than she’s forgotten it—and Arion will have to learn how to let her go.

No One¿s Angel is a story about surviving, fighting for yourself

No One’s Angel is a story about surviving, fighting for yourself and your freedom and learning to let go what you love the most. No One’s Angel, a New Adult novella, is another magnificent work of Kelly Walker that will captivate all your senses.

I have to confess that I love Ms. Walker’s writing; it is enthralling, fluid, and refreshing. The fact that Ms. Walker's writing is smooth and straight to the point, was the first thing that made me choose this book, so when I started reading No One’s Angel I had my expectations high, and you know what? I wasn’t disappointed. As always, Ms. Walker's writing was spellbinding, descriptive and explosive. I loved it because of how she described Angel/Tess and Arion/Axel’s life, it was so depressive and at the same time beautiful to read. I should add that Kelly wrote No One’s Angel from two different points of view: Angel’s and Arion’s. Walker did a great job writing Arion’s side of the story, she nailed it!When I got to the end, that end! I was left breathless. The end was a perfect mix of love and danger. I knew it was going to end like that, but I was dying to know how Kelly would do it. Once again, Ms. Walker stole my heart with this magnificent end.

It’s time to end this. I enjoyed reading and reviewing No One’s Angel, but now it’s time for me to go. I would suggest you to leave all you have, and buy/read this heartbreaker new adult book of Kelly Walker. I promise you this is an explosive and refreshing reading that you would really enjoy. And because we enjoyed it so much, we are giving this wonderful book a four gorjuss dolls.

NO One's Angel

Started off slow. But once you get into the story, it is spell binding. You just have to finish it quickly so you stay in the story.

At least it was free

The characters had a lot of annoying traits about them. There was a repitiveness to this book that made it easy to skim several pages at once. I didn't feel a dramatic climb to the climax of the story, it was just kinda plopped down in a take it or leave it manner. Grammatical errors were few and far in between so that was a major bonus since it was free. Not sure I'd pay for the next one....

Really good book about surviving abuse and finding a way out. Would've like to have seen more of what really went on between Angel and her Nick. I think it would've add more emotions to what she went through and how people control others to keep them in the situation they're in.

Angel doubts herself a lot but she's learning to stand on her own two feet and figuring out what a healthy relationship is really like. She's also learning how to fight back. Arion wants to protect Angel and help her heal. But that's something she has to do for herself. I would recommend this book

Disclaimer, I¿m not a romance person, you may not believe it fro

Disclaimer, I’m not a romance person, you may not believe it from the amount of romance books I end up reading, but if I had my way, I
wouldn’t read some of them, and I do avoid a lot of them. I look for substance in a book. I am a plot over smut kinda girl, and with
romance novels it’s quite hard to find books that fill that requirement.

This book was wonderful. I was browsing, and I saw this book, and I noticed it was a NA romance, but I read the description, and said,
what the heck! I love gaming! I thought a novel exploring the previously untapped angel of virtual romances, which are quite common in
today’s digital age was outstanding, so I grabbed this book on that alone. Full well knowing I was jumping back into the romance pool.

As a NA, this is great. Those of you who love the romance, you’ll love this. Gaming isn’t the focal point of this novel, so rest assured,
those of you who don’t understand gaming, it won’t hinder the story for you in any way. Angel (Tess) and Arion (Axel) met online, through
my MMORPG online game. They chatted, hung out, and generally fell in love online. They spend a lot of time together, but suddently she
disappears.

Years later, she turns up at Axel’s house, running away from her life.

This story is beautiful, well written, and heart wrenching. The character of Angel is so flawed and broken. She’s had a lot of bad in her
life, and she hasn’t recovered yet. All Axel wants is to help her, love her, and keep her with him. This is a novel about fighting, fighting
your own demons, fighting for the one you love.

Overall, I enjoyed this storyline. It’s not overly sex driven, though the sex is present but the storyline wasn’t bad either, so for those of you
romance lovers, come on over and grab a copy of this book! You’ll love it! For the non romance, this one is iffy, I enjoyed it, but it might
be a bit too much for some!

Heartbreaking, dark, sweet, and romantic, No One's Angel was a wonderful New Adult romance. It was a fantastic read and I really enjoyed reading it. Loved this book!

Angel was a heroine who has been through a lot in the several months. But, she was still strong and she made it out of her bad situation. I really liked her. She was a admirable character who made it against the odds. I thought she was great.

Arion was so sweet! He was just adorable. His past has a few ghosts that cause him to be somewhat paranoid about people leaving him. Which is why, when Angel left him suddenly, he completely broke down. And, when she came back, he was determined to keep her with him. I just loved him. He was so sweet and determined to keep Angel safe. He was wonderful.

The romance was both sweet and steamy. There was an interesting dynamic in their relationship because they kind of know each other, but kind of don't. They know each other very well, better than anyone else, from their conversations in the game. But they haven't met. It made it interesting that, while the feelings were there, they still had to get to know each other. And, because of their respective pasts, trust each other. It was sweet to see them fall deeper in love. And, the chemistry between them was undeniable. The attraction was constantly there and that led to some hot moments. I thought they were a brilliant couple.

The plot was fast paced. I was hooked then entire way through. The threat of Angel's past coming back to haunt her kept me anxious to find out how things worked out. I really enjoyed the story and the ending was lovely.

No One's Angel was a brilliant New Adult read. It was sweet, steamy, dark, heartbreaking, and totally wonderful. I really enjoyed reading it. New Adult readers, this is a book you have to check out.

I never imagined two individuals to fall inlove through an onlin

I never imagined two individuals to fall inlove through an online game. I've played some online games before but I never really got in touch with the other players. I didn't make friends with them personally. I don't even care if they're online or been gone for a long time. I just focus on my character, skills and level.

So, upon reading the plot of this book, I was immediately interested. I was curious on how a relationship, even friendship, was built through an online game. Despite the fact that they haven't even seen each other.

Is it just some kind of virtual love? Or true love?

Tess, or Angel (her username) ran away from her boyfriend, Nick's hands. She's a battered and abused girlfriend. Her choices and freewill were taken away from her, leaving her broken, or should I say shattered. She finally gathered the courage and took the consequences to ran away from him. She was so afraid that he'd find her and kill her, she ended up at the front door of a friend she made through an online game, whose name is Arion.

"Sadness, guilt, and despair consume me. I know I'm no one's angel, because if I had wings I'd wings I'd fly away, and I wouldn't stop until I eventually soared above the pain."

Axel, or Arion (his username) is very sexy and as hot as hell. When she met Angel for the first time, he was so shocked because he didn't expect her to show on his front door. He didn't even believe she was real and that he'd ever get to meet her in person. He accepted Angel to his apartment, as well as to his life, whole-heartedly. He promised to protect her in any way he can, even thought she's still hesitant to tell him the whole story of the past she ran away from. I love how he became so protective about her, and how he was able to understand the situation she was in. He's open and willing to wait until Angel is finally ready to open up.

Reading this book, I felt Angel's pain. The author was able to bring me into her world. I just hate it that cannot find it in her heart to trust Arion. I mean, why did she ran to him if she can't trust him in the first place? Fortunately, Arion is a very understanding guy. He wanted to give back everything that was taken away from Angel, especially her own choices. He won't let Angel disappear again in his life. Not this time that he finally saw her, and fell inlove with her. He will do everything to pick up the pieces of Angel's heart and make her whole again.

"I know he took your past, Angel, and I know it hurts. I don't want to take anything from you, I only want to share your future."

I was, and still, captivated by the story. The character I loved most is Arion. Not all guys are as patient and understanding as him. He's the perfect boyrfriend material - sexy, hot, protective, patient, understanding - swoon worthy, indeed. Angel's very lucky to have him. He didn't care about her past, even when he learned her deepest secrets. All he wanted is to take her away from that life, and keep her.

This book touched some sensitive issues, and I like how the author brought it justice. A lot of girls have been through Angel's position, overwhelmed by fear. This books tells us that no matter how broken you are, there will always be a person who's willing to understand, accept, and forgive you for who you are and what you did. It tells that we should always learn to accept what we did and be brave enough to face it. Our past lets us learn from our mistakes, so we should not just run away and find an escape from it.

I think Arion may be my new book boyfriend. He is totally hot and swoonworthy. I loved his protectiveness of Angel. I thought this book was very well written and had such a unique, refreshing storyline. I've read a few books that touched the subject of a horrible past and/or abuse, but this was such a unique and creative storyline. From the moment I read the synopsis, I knew I was going to love this book and it has definitely become one of my all time favorites. I also liked the fact that the author continued to use their game names "Angel" and "Arion" throughout the book. As someone who used to play an online game with my boyfriend / now husband, it was cool to see her mention things about the game and know exactly what she was meant. I would definitely recommend reading this book. You won't be disappointed. Even if you aren't a gamer, you will still fall in love with Arion and Angel's story.

Some of my favorite quotes:

"You'll always be my Angel. If I have to, I'll build you new wings." - Arion

"From here on on out, it's just you and me. No matter how far apart we are, my heart will still be here with you. Hold onto it for me, will you? Maybe I can rebuild my wings, and then it will guide me back to you." - Angel

A story that will tug at your heart strings and having you hopin

A story that will tug at your heart strings and having you hoping that the two main characters can overcome all of the challenges that are thrown at them.

The story centers around a girl named Angel and a boy named Arion. They met through an online game and have been getting closer and closer with each passing day. Angel brushes off the attraction, while Arion has seemingly given his hear to a girl that he met online. A girl that he doesn't know if he will ever meet in real life. Then one day she disappears and his heart is shattered. He didn't even get to say good bye.

A year later a scared and scarred Angel turns up on Arion's doorstep. All the emotions that each has had for the other flood back, but Angel fights the attraction because of her recent past. A past that she knows will catch up with her, and for that she is completely terrified.

An amazing story that follows a young couple through the scares of domestic violence and the struggle to trust once a trust has been broken.

The book opens and we are already knee deep in the story. <----Love this. Kelly does a great job filling in the back story as we go. I do not
feel like I missed any part of the story. Angel is very brave. She removed herself form a horrid situation. That takes courage. Arion has
questions he wants answers to, Angel has the answers. As much as he wants to demand she talk to him immediately, he handles her
with care. Arion is intuitive. He can tell something is wrong. Arion was a gentle giant through the whole book. Angel had some work to do.
She had to find the woman she was, the woman she lost. Arion was instrumental in her road to recovery, but ultimately Angel had to heal
herself.

I read a lot of books... very few become "best ever books". This is one of those books. I have been thinking about what makes it so special for me and I think it is a combination of factors. First, this is a wonderful romantic story. Arion and Angel (as they have nicknamed each other) are kindred spirits. They have bonded in a spiritual level before even meeting. Second, it is the thrill and suspense of the underlying plot line. Angel is running away and running to the only person she can trust. Thirdly, it is the writing. This is a well written book, with great exposition and character analysis. I am grateful that this author's next book will continue to broaden the story to encompass other characters from this book. I cannot wait to find out what happens to these secondary characters.

This was a pretty adorable and unique take on a romance novel. I liked the feel of it. The fact that they met online through a game and knew each other so well before they ever met lends credibility to the whole story. Arion has genuine feelings for Angel even before he lays eyes on her. Even though she can't understand it, she can't deny that he cares about her. They find out that the friendship and the flirting that they did on-line ignites when they are together. Arion is so much better looking than Angel anticipated and Arion is immediately attracted to Angel.

There is quite a bit of suspense in this for a NA book. The last 25% of the book was pretty intense. I loved the secondary characters and the somewhat geeky and loveable main characters. We get a dual point of view so we know what is going on in both of their heads, which I really enjoyed. Arion is an absolute gem. I loved him and his adorable possessive streak. He was so sweet and he wanted to go all caveman and save his girl. *swoon* Angel learned to stand up for herself and in the end she starts to find herself. In the meantime, Arion has learned to be patient. He is willing to wait. 4 Adorably Romantic Stars!!

(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read-to-review basis. Thanks to All Night Reads, Kelly Walker, and Netgalley.)
Tess is known as ‘Angel’ in the gaming world, but she’s been absent from their games for a while when she turns up on Axel ‘Arion’s’ doorstep.

Angel and Arion had been having a bit of an online relationship when Angel disappeared, and Arion was a mess. Now that’s she’s on his doorstep, he’s determined to find out the truth about why she disappeared, and to try and convince her that wherever he is, is where she is supposed to be.
Can Angel trust Arion enough to tell him about her abusive ex-boyfriend? Can she be sure that her ex won’t catch up with her again? And can Angel still be Arion’s angel, even when they’re not playing a game anymore?

This was a really good NA contemporary romance, with some great characters.

Angel was a girl who’s bravery I admired, even if her plans weren’t all that well thought out. I did find it a bit weird that she had run off and left her abusive boyfriend, but had never even considered that he might go after her friends and family to try and bring her out of hiding.
Arion was a real knight in shining armour kind of character, and I really liked how he both tried to protect Angel, without being overbearing or making her feel uncomfortable.

I liked the storyline in this book; only for me the romance overshadowed the other storylines. I thought that Angel and Arion made a great couple, and I loved the connection between them. The ‘love’ scenes were smoking hot and I got really into the story. The scenes purely between Angel and Arion were definitely the best for me though, and I found myself losing interest at other points in the story. The beginning of the story was a definite 5 stars, but by the end, it was only 3 stars. The romance was 5 stars also, but the bits in-between 3 stars, which is why this has ended up with a 4 star rating!
I thought the ending was alright, but I did wonder if it was maybe a little too neat.
Overall; a great NA romance, but a couple of niggles that stopped this from being 5 stars.

Thanks to NetGalley, All Night Reads and Kelly Walker for the ARC.

Real world topics can be really hard to read about, especially abuse. I have been very fortunate to have never experienced abuse as a child and now as I'm married. I'm so thankful to have a husband that would never consider it okay to ever raise a hand to me. I am his equal and always will be.

Kelly did a great job of setting up the characters and setting the scene and pace of this book. I'm glad some of the details were left to the imagination. I love Arion/Axel, even though he was a bit too clingy for my taste. He had his reasons and knew he had to work on it and I believe he was successful in the end. I enjoyed the gaming twist to the story, because you know relationships have started, ended and continue to endure because of a chance meeting in an imaginary gaming world so it was a nice change to a love story plot

By Momma on September 8, 2013

Every time Kelly Walker opens up Scrivner (Writing program) on her computer I get a tingle on the back of my neck! I love her work ( I love her too and swear I will get to meet her one day!). I completely loved the Souls of the Stones series. But now she has completely outdone herself with No One’s Angel! While you can still detect the liquid writing style that is distinctly “Kelly” the subject, the story, the characters are a complete departure from anything I’ve read from Kelly before – and I LOVED it.

No One’s Angel is New Adult Contemporary that is AWESOME!!! The characters were loveable or hateable as appropriate and well drawn. The romance was so sweet and felt so real in many ways. I enjoyed Kelly’s approach in discussing domestic violence, although it isn’t heavy handed and doesn’t make the book feel like a PSA it’s there and it’s discussed in a productive way.

Kelly really did her research on this one. Little known fact; back when Momma had spare time I used to be a gamer. Warcraft player primarily, I had a totally badass dwarf fire mage, an OP blood elf destruction Lock and a few others that I PVP’d with from time to time and all the gamer-speak was dead on right down to the LeroyJenks (because there’s one on every server).

All in all this book kept me up late reading and neglecting the chores, it is really good and I recommend it to anyone interested in New Adult!
What does Momma Think?

Momma gives No One’s Angel by Kelly Walker 4 cookies & a glass of milk!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

No one's angel is a tale of romance and love with the undertones

No one's angel is a tale of romance and love with the undertones of serious life issues. Tess is a gamer who's life has become more
complicated than she'd care for it to be. She escapes her life's troubles through the gaming world where she's Angel, a confident
gamer that flirts with her gaming partner Arion, and not a care in the world; at least for the time being. That is until life proves too much,
and gaming is more than just a virtual escape, it becomes a literal escape. Having had enough of her physically abusive boyfriend she
takes all she can carry in her backpack and runs to the one person who understands her, Arion. Her gaming life is about to become a
major part of her real life.
No one's angel was an enjoyable romantic read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and think it's a great addition to the new adult genre.
It has romance, suspense, and steam. The sexual tension between the two characters constantly threatens to leap off the pages
and grab hold of you but the author is sure to include a realistic plot so that the novel doesn't become to focused on the budding
relationship. It shows that there is a way out of an abusive relationship. It can give someone who's going through a similar situation
hope.
The suspense in the story was a nice addition to the story and it kept me on my toes. I had small issues with the ending half of the
book but it was well-done aside from that. I can appreciate an author who is confident in happily ever after. I'm not sure if this is a first
for this author but I'm excited to see more of her work
