I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I thought the suspense and romance blended quite nicely. Alex was an amazing woman and incredibly strong both physically and mentally. I loved the fact that she could take care of herself. I also thought the author really captured the human side of her by making her vulnerable to emotion this kept her from being Superwoman. Xian seemed to be such a powerful, yet sensitive person. Xian has a calm and patient role in this story. His growing fondness for Alex pulls him toward her. He wants to be the one to calm her and reassure her that it's okay to let him in. I was pleasantly surprised to find an interracial romance that was just a bit different from the usual. I can't wait to see what this author has in store for us in the future. An Excellent Read!

No Ordinary Love is a magnificent romance with suspense, personal and emotional growth, family relationships, with corporate intrigue and action to spice thing up. The author achieved a balance of strength and vulnerability few authors are able to. The hero and heroine compliment and help each other without burdening the other. The heroine is strong without being cruel, mean, and/or selfish. The hero is strong without being overbearing while being thoughtful, patient and giving. You get the impression that the hero is a lot stronger physically then he appears and is secure enough to allow others to think otherwise. The author smoothly takes you from the initial attraction, through their growing love, respect, and understanding of/for each other. The multicultural aspect does not over-shadow the story but comes across as just another ingredient in a well made gumbo.

No ordinary love has a very interesting take on the general theme of accecptance. you meet Xian and Alex go have to learn to deal with the past and the future at the same time. (author) Angela Weaver has very nicely tapped in to the growing demand for AM/BW Asian Man/Black Woman romance seeing as this dating/marige equasion is now really coming to the forefront. The book deals with love, trust,Violence, Loss, and renual. It was deffinatly a very worthwhile read and I hope authors and movie directors are taking note about this very under represented segment of socity

I just finished reading this one, and have to say that I really enjoyed it. The heroine Alex was tough, but wasn't an over the top, bad ass, tough girl. She was smart, and knew when to except help. The hero Xian, was protective, but wasn't some overbearing alpha male- which was a total change from some of the books that I read recently. I enjoyed read the chemistry between Xian and Alex, and I liked the inclusion of Chou in the story. There was was the right amount of suspense, chemistry, and lust in this one. The characters weren't in bed together by page 35, and it was really refreshing to read a story involving a hero and heroine of color that didn't fit stereotypes, or focus of racial difference throughout the entire novel. There weren't 1 billion references to skin color throughout the story- how refreshing!

Alex was a strong female lead which i like. I felt the author rushed some parts so that she could get to others.i also thought that the romance was a secondary part of the story. It was an okay book and i wouldnt discourage others from reading it. Oh the fight scenes were lame, like an after thought.we blacked out during one. Magic others sorted it out...

I liked the fact that this book was not based on sex, and that the lead male and female character didn’t just hop in the sack the first time they met. I did find it challenging to read because the story line is very boring and a bit on the predictable side. I had to force myself to finish reading this story. I most definably will not be buying any more books from this author
