All Music Guide - Heather Phares
Rodney Dangerfield's 1980 album No Respect features two of his monologues, "No Respect" and "Son of No Respect," both of which showcase the nervous, self-deprecating brand of humor that made him a star.

Rodney Dangerfield at his best in stand-up comedy.

This CD reissue of his early 1980's album is a must for any Rodney fan. His thirty years of working to become an overnight success pays off with a continuous rattling off of his "no respect" persona. The material is polished, predictable, and appreciated by the audience at New York's "Dangerfields".

The album times out to about a forty-minute set on two program bands. If ever a work deserved some bonus material, this CD would have been enhanced with at least another fifteen minutes of classic Rodney.
