About the Author

After graduating from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 1969, John Braun served churches in the midwest until 1984, when he because professor of English at Northwestern College in Watertown, WI. He was named president of the college in 1987 and served in that capacity until its merging with Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN in 1995. After that he became Editorial Vice-President at Northwestern Publishing House in Milwaukee, WI, and then also in 2006 as the executive editor of "Forward in Christ" magazine until 2023. He has authored many books published by NPH, including a two-volume popular commentary on the book of Isaiah.
