Overview

In March of 2002, while the eyes of the world focused on Afghanistan, Jack Noble finds himself on the outskirts of Baghdad, Iraq. A Marine in name only, Jack is on-loan to the CIA. Normally an integral part of the team, he finds that he is nothing more than a security detail in Iraq.

Jack and his partner Bear have a run-in with four CIA special agents over the treatment of an Iraqi family. Within hours Jack and Bear are detained.

All Jack wanted was to finish his enlistment and move on with his life. All he did was intervene and save a family from unwarranted violence at the hands of four CIA agents. But he soon discovers that he did far more than intervene. He has placed himself dead square in the middle of a conspiracy that reaches the highest levels of the U.S. government.

This Jack Noble political thriller is not for the faint of heart!

Meet the Author

Lee "L.T." Ryan writes exciting, fast-paced thrillers and deep, dark psychological horror stories. He majored in Journalism, but opted for the early mornings and late nights of the Culinary Arts. His training then landed him in the clandestine operations of Information Technology. But a nagging itch wouldn't let the desire to write and publish the stories that played out deep in his mind fade away. Despite a grueling work schedule, a full time business, a family, and a sweet, but psychologically unbalanced pit bull, L.T. found time to write and is fulfilling his destiny.

I have read six of L T Ryan's novels and they were all outstanding. Each were fast paced, totally unpredictable, well written and filled with one action packed event after another. This book was a disappointment and a let down especially when compared to the other books of his.It was totally predictable as if the writer was following a certain formula without any new ideas. I hope that new readers will not make the mistake of thinking that all the rest of Ryan's books are of this quality. That would be huge mistake as he's a brilliant and talented author. Ron Howard

Ryan writes with a simple and direct style that never gets in front of the action, and there is plenty of action. A falling out with the CIA team Jack and bear are assigned to support leads to a thrilling chase while Jack and Bear must avoid the authorities an find out who is destroying the CIA support program. The heart-pounding adventure drives through page after page, without letting up. The story is brilliant by itself, but also introduces many of the characters of importance in the subsequent stories.

I stopped reading about a third through. I kept expecting something to happen other than Jack and his buddy being beaten up. My patience ran out.
