Nobody Nowhereby Donna Williams
At 25, Donna discovered a new label, one that brought some answers and a hope for belonging: autistic. This personal account of her struggle with this
Labeled abnormal, disturbed, stupid and insane, Donna Williams withdrew into a world of her own. Alternating between rigid hostility and oblivious extroversion, she waged what she termed her war against "the world."
At 25, Donna discovered a new label, one that brought some answers and a hope for belonging: autistic. This personal account of her struggle with this condition, as well as a world ignorant of it, offers unique insight into the workings of an autistic mind.
She could have been locked up. But against all odds, Donna graduated from college with honors, lives independently and wrote this remarkable insider's view of the autistic world.
