Meet the Author

Teresa Tomeo is a veteran broadcast journalist with more than twenty years of experience as a radio and television news reporter and anchorperson, mainly in the Detroit area. First working as an award-winning radio reporter and news anchor, Teresa received recognition for her work from the Associated Press, the Detroit Press Club, and American Women in Radio and Television.
After making the move to television news in 1988, she worked as a reporter and anchor for WKBD-TV, and later reported for Detroit’s ABC affiliate, WXYZ-TV. Her assignments at WXYZ took her across the country covering some of the most significant stories of the 1990s, including the Oklahoma City bombing and the Pope John Paul II’s 1995 visit to United States.
Despite her success and recognition, Teresa become disillusioned by media trends toward sensationalism, violence, and liberal bias. She is now a professional speaker, media consultant, and host of the Catholic Connection, heard daily on Ave Maria Radio and distributed nationally by EWTN and Sirius Satellite Radio.
