Overview

By the #1 and critically-acclaimed Paleo food blogger, Nom Nom Paleo features over 100 flavor-packed, nutrient-dense recipes using real, whole ingredients for foodies, fitness buffs, and families, presented in a fun, fresh style complete with awesome cartoons and tons of 4-color photography.

A New York Timescookbook best-seller.

Nom Nom Paleo is a visual feast, crackling with humor and packed with stunningly photographed step-by-step recipes free of gluten, soy, and added sugar. Designed to inspire the whole family to chow down on healthy, home-cooked meals, this cookbook compiles over 100 foolproof recipes that demonstrate how fun and flavorful cooking with wholesome ingredients can be. And did we mention the cartoons?

Nom Nom Paleo kicks off with a fresh introduction to Paleo eating, taking readers on a guided tour of author Michelle Tam's real-food strategies for stocking the kitchen, saving time, and maximizing flavors. Also, sprinkled throughout the book are enlightening features on feeding kids, packing nutritious lunches, boosting umami, and much more.

But the heart of this book is Michelle's award-winning recipes, 50 percent of which are brand-new —- even to diehard fans who own her bestselling iPad cookbook app. Readers can start by marrying their favorite ingredients with building blocks like Sriracha Mayonnaise, Louisiana Remoulade, and the infamous Magic Mushroom Powder. These basic recipes lay the foundation for many of the fabulous delights in the rest of the book including Eggplant "Ricotta" Stacks, Crab Louie, and Devils on Horseback.

There's something for everyone in this cookbook, from small bites like Apple Chips and Kabalagala (Ugandan plantain fritters) to family-sized platters of Coconut Pineapple "Rice" and Siu Yoke (crispy roast pork belly). Crave exotic spices? You won't be able to resist the fragrant aromas of Fast Pho or Mulligatawny Soup. In the mood for down-home comforts? Make some Yankee Pot Roast or Chicken Nuggets drizzled with Lemon Honey Sauce. When a quick weeknight meal is in order, Nom Nom Paleo can show you how to make Crispy Smashed Chicken or Whole-Roasted Branzini in less than 30 minutes. And for a cold treat on a hot day, nothing beats Mocha Popsicles or a two-minute Strawberry Banana Ice Cream.

Healthy cooking doesn't mean sacrificing flavor. This book gives you "Paleo with personality," and will make you excited to play in the kitchen again.

I bought this book not because it's Paleo, but because the author's recipes are always good (they just happen to be paleo!).
It is a huge cookbook filled with beautiful photos, a ton of information on clean-eating, and it's full of humor! It's actually a very fun read!

The recipes are easy to follow because of the detailed instructions, without being too wordy. My favorite recipes so far are: Slow Cooker Korean Short Ribs, Loco Moco, Mussels in Curry Broth, Pressure-Cooked Spicy Collards w/ Bacon, and of course, the super easy to throw together, Bone Broth. I love good bone broth.
    Go get your book!!

I am so happy I finally got my hands on this book! It has exceeded my wildest expectations!

I have been a long time follower of the nomnompaleo blog, and I believe this books captures just how amazing their site has been over the years, and more! Michelle and Henry make you feel like you and right there in the kitchen cooking with them, it's awesome. The humor is also so inviting. Reminds me a lot of Well Fed and Well Fed 2, both some of my favorite cookbooks.
All in all this is a must have to ANYONE's collection, paleo or not. Even though by the first page you will already want to become paleo, IMO.
Also, 'big-o bacon burgers'... need I say more!!? Rush out at by this ASAP. Nom Nom!

It's not always easy to come by a cookbook that not only has delicious recipes, but breaks down the why's and hows of healthy and clean eating in a tasteful and enjoyable read. Absolutely love it, and her blog is just as fabulous

My boyfriend bought me this book a week ago because we're both starting to eat Paleo.  We've already made over a half-dozen recipes!  I would consider myself "kitchen challenged".  This book has opened my eyes and made me realize I CAN COOK!  The recipes are simple, with easy-to-follow instructions.  The beautiful pictures definitely help you through the process, too.  I'd have to say the "Madras Chicken Salad" is  my favorite so far.  (I've already made it twice!)  I'm obsessed!  I'm looking forward to strengthening my cooking skills, and making some of these tasty looking desserts!   Even if you're not considering a Paleo diet, this book is full of tasty dishes that will make you forget you're eating healthy!  Thanks, Michelle, for doing what you do!  Keep the nom-tacular eats coming!

If you love food and want self made ways to eat better, you have no reason not to. Great for any skill level, fun recipes to make if you're in a food rut or just want to try new things. There's a reason it's sold out

So excited to finally have this cookbook! I pre-ordered Nom Nom

So excited to finally have this cookbook! I pre-ordered Nom Nom Paleo: Food for Humans as soon as it was available. I LOVE Michelle's blog and almost bought an iPad just so I could get her cooking app.
Anyway, I just sat down to flip through the cook book before going to bed. Three hours later I sadly closed the book after reading it cover to cover. I would have been happy to read for another hour or more!
Not only are the recipes awesome, tempting, and for the most part, easy, I love the insight into this busy families life. I appreciated the truth about getting their kiddo's to eat paleo, as well as some of her back story. The family photos, comics, and "butt" jokes were a wonderful addition to the book.
The hard part now is trying to decide what to make first!

Thank you Michelle and Henry ( and Big O and Little O) for making my taste buds happier!
