"…Non-Compliance: The Sector is a carefully crafted work of original fiction that offers solid entertainment from first page to last and never disappoints!" Midwest Book Review

“…Intriguing and fast paced, Non-Compliance: The Sector by Paige Daniels is a novel that can be quickly summed up in one word: awesome!” Readers’ Favorite

Three months have passed since Shea Kelly and the rest of Boss’s crew eliminated Danny Rose from the Non-Compliance Sector, but their troubles are far from over. A new, more dangerous opponent has emerged, causing those once considered enemies to strike a tenuous truce. Secrets about the vaccine, the chip, and the past threaten Shea’s budding romance, not to mention the very existence of the crew.

Reviewed by Kayti Nika Raet for Readers' Favorite Non-Compliance: The Transition, the second book in the Non-Compliance series by Paige Daniels, kicks off a couple of weeks after the first book ended. Danny, their biggest rival for control of the Sector, is dead but the new guy that replaces him doesn't seem much better. He leaves Shea, Quinn, and the rest of Boss's crew a get-to-know-you present of two dead bodies. With an awesome opening, Non-Compliance only gets better and better as Shea and company have to outwit their twisted new foe (who seems to have some ties to Quinn's past), keep the Magistrate off their backs, and figure out what's wrong with the newest shipment of vaccines. Oh, and set off an explosion or two. Any fan of Non-Compliance knows they're in for one heck of a ride. The best part about reading a great book is when the sequel is just as good. As the title suggests, there's a lot of change going on in Shea's life. She and Quinn are growing closer with Captain Personality (as she calls him) becoming 'Quinn'ce-Charming. There are also facets of their past, which were merely hinted at in the first book, coming out to full disclosure in the second. We learn how many of the members in Boss's crew came to live in the Non-Compliance Sector. The worst part about reading a great book and its awesome sequel is that eventually it has to end (in spectacular fashion, I might add) and you're left bereft as you wait for the next book. More, please!

NOTE: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. First, if you have not read Book 1 of this series "Non-Compliance The Sector" you should because while this book can be read as a stand-alone it will be better if you have read book 1 first. In the future when everyone's need are taken care of by the government if they allow them to put a chip in their brain. The ones who refuse this are sent to Sectors or actually a ghetto which is a wide open town where people get by the best they can and while they are, in name, ran by a magistrate and his marshals, it is really ran by crime bosses. In book 1 Shea Kelly, Jill of all trades, electronic expert, computer hacker, auto mechanic and general bad-ass, her best friend Wynne, computer genius, Quinn Knightly, the local crime boss' right hand man and this rest of Bosses gang had defeated Danny Rose, someone who had tried to take over the sector but Ramsey, Danny's second in command had escaped and now is causing Shea, Quinn and the rest a lot of trouble and when the magistrate tells them to take care of it or he will they know they have to do something. Ms Daniels has a way of making her town and characters real. You can see the sector in your mind and the characters are not super-humans or paranormals. They are jut normal people using what talents doing the best to live and hopefully help others to do so. You van believe that something like this could happen if people gave up and allowed the government to control everything and make you wonder if you would be a compliant or non-compliant if it happened.
