Barnes and Nobles sucks! I live over 100 miles from a bn store, when my nook charger stops working, it says go buy in a store??!! When I call the 800 number, I get, 'We're sorry, but we won't have any more of these in stock until May, hopefully, here is the number for the bn closest to you'. Call the bn closest to me, >100miles away, to see if they could ship one, 'We're sorry, we don't have these in stock and aren't expected to get one until May at the earliest'. So now I have a piece of junk since it is dead and I have no way to charge it, and no way to get a new charger from the people I bought it from in the first place. I KNOW I would not have this problem with a Kindle from Amazon. Save your money people, go straight to Kindle, forget the store that can only deal with paper!

Very disappointed in the charging cable for the nook tablet. I have had it a year and have gone through 3 charging cables because the tips break. I have been search of a replacement for over a month and have not been able to find one and when you contact customer service they just say "we are out of stock sorry please try again in 2 weeks" Needless to say I am extremely frustrated and do NOT recommend this product to anyone!!

Very disappointed in the poor quality of the Nook Color power cord...just recently the tip of my charger broke and I am not able to locate a replacement anywhere. Tried call customer service but the customer service rep English was so broken I was not a communicate my needs....FRUSTRATED!!

My NOOK charging cable is breaking at both ends. I went on line to order a new one only to be told it's "available in our stores." I looked for a store that had it in two different states (since I travel) and out 10 stores listed, not one had the cable. Now what do I do????

Same complaint as all the others. Dying battery, 2 days car ride starting, and the tiny fragile pos connector on Nook end broke and not stay on to charge. " NOT ONLINE IN STOCK, LOCAL ( 50 MI FROM HOME!!!)STORE NOT IN STOCK. " GET IT TOGETHER, B&N!!!! FB post next!!!

Horrible, horrible!!!! 1. Has to use its own special charger to charge 2. It is poor quality. I've already went through 2 cords because of the connector falling apart. Now I'm struggling to find a replacement

Give me a F… Brake, I go to the B&N web site,enter Nook HD wall charger, the page comes up and tells me they carry in in the stores. So I travel an hr by car and they inform me,no we don't carry that,order it on line! I have had too much trouble with charging my NOOK and will never purchase anything else from them. How about a response B&N?

Same problem can't get charger. Store says online but can't help get it. Online says in store. Not happy with preloaded apps and memory of newer Nook Samsung 4 .  Nook has lost my business I'm going Kindle..

Why doesn't the nook tablet use the universal data cable? The local ( 35 miles away ) does not have any. The B&N site does not have a link to buy. How are customers supposed to get parts? This $300+ expense has been getting progressively more frustrating. B&N must be intentionally trying to lose customers.

Would not recommend a nook. Have been trying to get a cable for the last 5 months.Store told me to call 800 number. They just say they are working on it.

Same comments as everyone else. Barnes and Noble, please mitigate your 'poor quality charge cord' situation. You know there is an urgent problem. You know they break,and you know we need  to be able to acquire new ones. HURRY UP and make them and let us get them!!!! I feel sorry for your Customer Service as they are just reading the script that management has given them. Sooo frustrating.

bought a new charger cord for my grandson's nook-- doesn't work!!!!!!! Plugged my original one from mine nook and it works. Generic replacement cord... Not happy with B& N

I can't imagine how many customers B&N has lost over this issue but count me as one of them. My Nook is now a paper weight for all the good it does me without a charter. If this is their idea of a business model, they should be belly up in a matter of months. I for one will do without before I ever buy anything from them again. "we're sorry for the inconvenience" Really??? You have no idea!

These are the worst chargers ever! We have gone through at least 3 of them. Poorly designed and hard to repurchase when you don't live close to a B&N.

Is this the whole thing, like the part you plug it into the wall and the cord? I need a new cord but will be fine with a new whole one. But need to make sure this is the whole cord and wall plug.

I spoke with someone in customer service today who said they should be in stock again by the end of June and available to order online. I'm sure the poor ratings everyone gave is because it's been so frustrating not being able to buy replacement chargers. My sister was looking for a replacement charger for her nook color for the past 2 years. I will come back and give a better rating if the part does become available.
