    Awesome Tool!

    *It pronounces the word when you click on the small icon next to the word. *Provides definition, thesaurus, and examples when you click on the underlined word. *It is free! Need I say more?

    Expand your Vocabulary

    This app is great if you want to learn new words that you don't always here in normal everyday conversation. Also, it is kind of fun to try and use the words when you are talking to friends, or in an everyday conversation. (To get the word definition, just tap the underlined word in the sentance, and it will take you to the definition page.)

    To those saying the words are too advanced:

    The point of this app is to expand your vocabulary. Obviously you dont know the words; whats the point of an app that shows you words you already know?! Also, age is no excuse... i loved learning words just like these when i was in elementary and middle school. Ahhh youngsters these days... Anywho! I very much like this little app - its also a good little supplement for those preparing for the SAT. I would just prefer a new word each day... They should rename the app "Word of the Week" for how often they actually update it.

    Ok, but needs work.

    Yes, you can get a definition by clicking through to the website. But then what is the benefit of having an app that takes up space on your Nook? There should be additional functionality to make it worth being an app. Also, the word is not the same as that on the Wordnik website, BN chooses its own to advertise a specific book then relies on the site for definition. Just bookmark the site and avoid BN's advertising.

    Nook

    I love this app! It is grear for expanding your vocabulary. What I try to do is use the word at least three times throughout the day. It is a fun challenge.

    I like this app because it has taught me a lot of new words. In my notebook I write down every word of the day. If you want to impress your friends this is what you need.

    Blargh

    This app sucks!!!! Its a big let down. It doesnt give you the defenition and its more like word of the week. The words arent even that advanced! If you have a wide vocabulary this is pointless for you to get.

    This app is good but the problem is that it doesn't show the definition of word on the app just a sentence as an example.

    Meh

    I thought it would be more interesting than it is, maybe give the entimology of the words, view past words, etc. Nope. It gives you one word, using it in a sentence, and you can get the definition of that one word. I'm removing it.
