    Norah Jones Sweeps You Away

Norah Jones's sultry, yet full voice in her new album 'Come Away with Me' sheds light into a different style of music. In the midst of this pop culture filled with Britney Spear's wanna-bes and boy band lovers, Jones proves that music with a different sound and style can surpass them all. She uses her richly toned voice to create such ballads as her hit, 'Don¿t know Why', which won Jones recognition for this highly acclaimed album. Though short, Jones's songs are passageways into her heart and soul. These ballads have a jazz-like feel, but with a hint of pop. For example, 'Shoot the Moon' is indeed a song of the soul. It talks about a lost love, and as the seasons change, so does the tone of the ballad. Winter comes, and she is cold and lonely. The extreme emotion that Jones portrays lives within the notes and words of each creative piece of her work. The headline song, 'Come Away with Me' is richly filled with talented instrumental artists that make the music flow with rhythm and unique sound. Of course Norah Jones does the vocals and piano work, but we have Lee Alexander on the bass, Jesse Harris on the acoustic guitar, Adam Levy on the electric guitar, and Dan Rieser on the drums. This collaboration earned the entrancing piece 'Come Away with Me' the headline ballad. Jones in fact does, 'bring you away with her' throughout this album, luring you with her unforgettable style and voice. Come Away with Me was the star of the show at this year's Grammy Awards. Jones won an amazing five major honors. Some of these include Best New Artist, jazz/pop crossover expert, and the Blue Note recording artist. Jones deserves every bit of recognition she gets because of her unique soulful style and captivating lyrics. No other crossover artist has been as successful as Jones. She's writer, a singer, and a pianist. Her talents will inevitably produce music for years to come. Norah Jones will never fade out of style.
