The fractured, sketchy surge of Sigur Rós' "Viôrar Vel Til Loftárása" leads into the dark-alley cabaret electronica of Goldfrapp's "Pilots On a Star," while Gare du Nord's "Metropole Dub" is by-the-numbers down-tempo jazz. Nordic Days ends strong with the drifting IDM psychedelia of Múm's "Land Between Solar Systems," a demo version of the Reindeer Section's "Budapest." Best might be "I Will Find the Smile of the Betrayed Woman" from Frenchman Loleness. A halting, half-mournful number delivered in his cracked Michael Stipe falsetto, "Smile" sounds like a sea shanty sung to a dear departed mermaid.
