This is not your typical romance story; North Star has great character development and depth. I loved the story from start to finish, one of the warmest, feel good books I have read. The story kept me captivated with humor, sadness, happiness and a few "welcomed" twists which kept the story interesting.

It's good for an afternoon read. I can't wait to read more stories from Ms. Bishop! Well Done!!!

What a refreshing writer!!! This book was intriguing. A compelling story without all of the usual complications and fluff that makes it difficult to follow. Although this genre is not a typical read, I believe that I will have to continue following this author's work! Great job!!!

Cat & Mouse -- Love in the America's Top Model Age

First let me say I admire anyone that can put one word after another and produce a work that is easy to follow, yet presents a compelling story. In North Star, this author does a good job of showing how Caresse and Graham--gotta love those names--attempt to come together (no pun intended), while also doing everything possible to protect their hearts, but mostly their egos, in pursuit of happily-ever-after. She's beautiful, but has a past, the ever looming ex. He's to die for gorgeous and the founder and editor-in-chief of Psyche, the hot new men's mag everyone who's anyone wants to be in. He's also the oldest male sibling of a brood of overachieving siblings, which you'd think would keep him too busy to so ardently pursue Caresse, but she has the beauty and, of course, the fiery nature that causes even a high profile man like Graham to ignore his Blackberry if only to convince her that the past is just that, and that he is not only the man of her dreams, but her flesh and blood soul mate. Overall this author has produced a fine debut novel, with believable characters and a strong storyline. I look forward to future novels from Angeline M. Bishop.

For a woman to find the courage to leave the familiarity of a turbulent relationship is not easy. To pick up the pieces and start over after a failed marriage is an arduous task. Letting down your guard, learning to trust and the idea of risking your heart again is terrifying. Angeline Bishop¿s debut novel tackles these and other social issues facing women in the twenty-first century with finesse and compassion. You can¿t help but admire Caresse¿s strength, conviction, independent spirit, and determination to protect her daughters at all cost. Hero Graham Sheridan, a handsome, debonair, publishing executive is a man accustomed to getting what he wants, but is he up to the challenge? Facing a true test of wills, this modern-day, knight-in-shinning armor is determined to show Caresse that new love is possible with the right man. In this beautifully crafted, sensual novel, Ms. Bishop¿s characters, both primary and secondary, spring to life. Vibrant dialog, gripping scenes and a well-paced plot, laced with a few twists of intrigue and suspense to keep you guessing, make this story about love, faith, family and new beginnings a must read. Captivated from page one, this reader looks forward to Bishop¿s work in the future and can¿t wait to see what she has in store for Book 2 of the Sheridan series.
