We use this text at the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis campus). As an English major, I have found it invaluable. Now includes Douglass's slave narrative unabridged. Also good is the Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin. The inclusion of Native American oratory makes this book an excellent study in American literary and print cultures. Only one thing could improve this book: better quality paper. It is thinner than rice paper and when taking notes, they bleed through. I'd also like to see a hardcover version for a few dollars more. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
