This book was a total shocker to me. I have read many of Wynter Daniels books but this one just grabbed me from the get go. Kitty is a middle aged woman who owns her own beauty shop. She was and is a single mom to Josh who is a druggie. His father was a man of money but never claimed his son so Kitty did the raising of him all on her own. She feels bad however because she was not there a lot when her son was growing up. She basically blames herself for her sons demons now that he is an adult. In to the beauty salon walks the most gorgeous man Kitty has seen in a very long time and her stomach gets butterflies but that’s soon blown to hell when she finds out exactly who he is. Josh her son also has his demons he is fighting drug addiction and has just learned he is to become a father. Can he handle all of this? What about Kitty and Harrison? Can they come through this as a couple? Hmmm Well grab your copy and find out.. This was a really good story I enjoyed every moment of it. Highly recommend .
5.0 out of 5 stars Bravo and kudos Wynter Daniels!!!, September 7, 2014 By Pisces40 (Arizona) This review is from: Not Enough (Kindle Edition) This is not your typical Wynter Daniels story. This is a heart and gut wrenching, true to life story that grabs you in from the beginning until the end. I read it in one sitting, once you start you won't be able to put it down until the end. Just make sure you have some tissues nearby-you'll need some. Kitty Murphy is a 40 year old single mother (the father of her child told her she was good for sex but not acceptable to be his wife since he was affluent whereas she wasn't). She kept her son, Josh, and raised him by herself (her parents disowned her). She put herself through school, became a hairdresser and eventually opened up her own salon - Kitty Kuts. Her employees are also her friends and she is always trying to help people out if she can. Her son Josh, is a 22 year old crack head who has gotten his girlfriend Brooke pregnant. He has stolen from her to keep up his habit and when he finds out she's pregnant he said he is going to straighten himself out. He's such a smart and handsome boy and loves his Mom and Brooke. Harrison Wentworth III, who is a developer comes into Kitty's shop for a haircut. He's bought quite a few buildings on her block already and tries to talk her into selling her place too. Needless to say, she told him to get lost. Also, she doesn't trust rich men. He comes back and also invites her on dates. He's just so attracted to her, besides being pretty, she's also her own woman and so independent. He doesn't give up!! He is so compassionate and will do anything for her. He helps her out with some family matters that will just melt your heart! Even though there is heartbreak in this story, there is also hot romance and humor. It's a story that everyone will love and can relate to. I loved all the characters in this story, they and the story is so down to earth! I so highly recommend this story and if I could I would have given it 10 stars-that's how good it is.
Kitty is a small business owner facing a corporation that wants to buy her shop. And the man in charge is romancing her. But does he really want Kitty, or just her shop? She is also the single mother of a drug addicted son who is a father to be. This is a true to life story of a woman struggling with business, family, and love. It is a beautiful story of the bonds of love that can form, and the new life that can begin when you let go of the past.
This is now my favorite book by Wynter Daniels. It is the story of Kitty Murphy, the owner of Kittkuts salon, her son Josh, who has a drug addiction, his girlfriend Brooke and the very handsome Harrison Wentworth III, who wants her building, also the people in her salon, neighbors and a box of 4 kittens. Kitty doesn't recognize she is a savior, she tries to save everyone and everything in her life. Some people and somethings can't be saved and you have to let go and open yourself up to anew life and loves. I literally felt I rode this journey with Kitty, her highs, lows, optimism, hope, uncertainty and heartache. Wynter writes this with so much emotion I couldn't put it down. I loved everyone in this story and the intertwined community family. The love of a mother for her son and the lengths she would take to save him. Keep kleenex by you when you read this. It brought tears to my eyes in a good way. I love when an author makes you feel so deeply for the characters and Wynter Daniels does in Not Enough
