Overview

The future. We're visited by our nearest neighbours, The Kaani. Their scathing appraisal of our world is that we are not socially advanced enough, considering our technological advancements. They don't want us exploring beyond our own solar system until we can solve problems such as war and poverty.
Given a technological hand these problems get solved, but greed and hatred rear their ugly heads again and we are back where we started.
By the time the Kaani visit again, things are worse than when they first visited. So in an attempt to get the human race back on course, the Kaani take a group of children back to their planet for a chance to see how an enlightened society can work. But do the powers that be back on earth want this to work? No matter what is learnt, no matter how perfect the society on show, there are always some back home who will want inequality to flourish. Can the children convince those back home that there is a better way? Or will we always stay on a path towards self destruction?
