They mean what they say: NOT for tourists

I found the amount of unsorted information in this book hard to digest. They don't really seem to have opinions about anything. I found other books much more helpful for a first time traveler to NYC.

    Small book packed with details

This little book is a must-have for tourists and natives alike. It's small enough to fit in a purse or fanny pack, yet simple to use as a reference. Breaks the city down into managable sections, not only Manhattan but the outer borroughs as well. The maps and info are wonderfully detailed even including maps of Times Square, Rockefeller Center, etc. as well as maps for the buses, subways and MetroNorth, Long Island and NJ Transit Rail lines. This is money well spent. In fact, I'm ordering an updated edition.
