Meet the Author

James S. Kelly (Jim) retired from the USAF after twenty five years, which included a combat flying tour in Vietnam, in the rank of Colonel.

This is Jim's third published novel. "A Man of Breeding", circa 1864-1893 was published in 2010, "Interned" the first of the Clay Wrens Trilogy was published in 2011 and "Not in My Backyard", his latest novel, is the second of the Clay Wrens Trilogy.

All of Jim's novels use the backdrop of the Santa Ynez Valley, which includes the town of Solvang, where he and his wife Patricia own a horse ranch.

He and his wife are active in a local organization to support our troops in forward operating locations in Afghanistan.
