The BIBLE for understanding 504 Plans

This book was written so that every parent could understand what hidden disabilities are and how to obtain a 504 Plan. If I had not read this book, my son would never have received a 504 Plan. The Child Study Team at my school told me that my son my need to be placed in special education for the emotionally-disturbed, since he was disrupting the class. I felt that I was being pushed into making this decision. No one told me to take my son to see a medical doctor or anything about a 504 Plan. I was so upset that I left the meeting. Later, I went on the Internet and found out about this book. I took a chance and bought it. I am so glad I did. I took my child to see a neurologist, just like Ms. Ollie did with her son. I found out that my son has dysgraphia, along with a mild form of ADHD. My son does not need to take medication, but really needed some accommodations in his classroom. I was not going to get these accommodations in his class, unless I had a 504 Plan. Well, my son is doing much better in school with having a 504 Plan. This book is written for any parent who has a child struggling in school. It was an easy book to read and understand. I have decided to nickname it the BIBLE for understanding 504 Plans.
