Overview

Suzy Denton thought she had it all: a great job as an event planner for Danvers International and a committed relationship to her high school sweetheart....

But now her life has gone to hell in a handbasket. Not only did she discover her fiancé cheating, but a recent corporate merger is making her job very difficult—mostly due to Grayson Merimon, wealthy CEO. Gray is a man who goes after what he wants. And, after their first meeting, he wants Suzy.

Even though he looks like every fantasy she’s ever had, Suzy is wary of the powerful businessman. She likes her newfound independence, even if her best friend thinks it’s an excuse not to risk her heart again. Besides, she doesn’t think Gray could ever be interested in a relationship with someone like her. When he calls her bluff, Suzy agrees to one night together.

But when circumstances continue to throw them together—and with Gray determined to show her that two opposites can be a perfect fit—Suzy realizes that she might just have found the one man who can give her what she’s always needed….

    Not sure about this one

Okay, so this is the second book I've read by this author and I believe it will be my last. The writing, while better than the first one in this series, still lacks depth. The timeline doesn't make sense. There are still too many cliches used in her writing. I don't believe an editor, if editing was done by a professional, finished editing this book, as the last half was full of run-on sentences. Scene transition again created a couple problems. I was a little confused at how someone in a cast walks, then hobbles, then walks, then hobbles, then walks AND hobbles, then dances throughout the book. Reva is a very unbelievable character and her "plight" seems contrived and ridiculous. I found myself skipping pages, which I rarely do. The sex scenes were graphic, which is fine, but kind of tacky.
I liked the premise of this book, a lot, but the delivery was sorely lacking.

Not sure if i got the whole book?

Was really enjoying the book however on page 488 ended abruptly with no resolution to the storyline. I am hoping that book 3 will be out soon to tie up the loose ends

    I love this series

Really great read! I'm looking forward to the next Danver novel. These characters are rich and multi-layered and facing real life situations. Couldn't hardly put it down.

    Great writing...poor editing

The story was written very well. I loved the first book in the series (and am looking forward to the third one). The editing, however, in this book was of very poor quality. Almost to the point of distracting me away from the story. Run-on sentences that i had to read over and over to make sense of them. And lots of misspelled words. I dont blame the author...just hope she gets a new editor before the next book goes to print:)

This is a "Must Read" series!!

I ran across 'Not Planning on You' and saw that it was part of a series. I don’t like to read books out of order so I bought 'Weekends Required', the first in the Danvers series. I am very glad I did because this is a great book and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great romance with spice. From the start I was pulled into Claire and Jason’s out of the ordinary, but highly entertaining courtship. Before I had even read halfway through the book I went back and bought 'Not Planning on You' the second book in the Danvers series. I could already tell that I wouldn't want to wait to read Suzy and Gray's story. There is just something about reading a well written series; you never really have to leave your “new friends” behind even when meeting new “new friends”. ; ) I am already looking forward to ‘Falling in Love With Me’ coming out in late September. Sydney Landon is definitely one of my new favorite authors!!

    Disappointed

I previously purchased this when the author was listed as the publisher. Wish BN would indicate this. I also purchased a Linda Lael Miller book when the bok was listed with a new published dates. Think you should be able to get a refund.

    Ok read

Predictable and cheesy...I liked the first in the series, but this one didn't really do it for me. I finished it because I always finish what I start reading. I did want to see how the story ended, but it was very predictable. There are also lots of editing errors which seems careless and unprofessional.

    Corny.....

The first half of the book started out pretty good but then it all snowballed into a mess of cliches and corniness. I know chick lit is full of happy endings but this writer seems to feel like her characters live in a world where everything is magically resolved and everyone is happy even the bad guys.

    I want to be Suzy!!

This is the second book in the Danver's Series. The first book, Weekends Required revolved around the CEO of Danver's and his secretary Claire. Suzy made her appearance in Weekends as the best friend and I just fell in love with her funny, outspoken nature. She was one of the cool girls that you always wanted to be friends with in school. When she meets Grayson, sparks fly. She thinks he is a stuffed shirt and could never appreciate her wild side. Boy is she wrong. Gray gives as good as he gets in Not Planning on You, and in the end they find that they aren't that different after all. The dialogue between them is funny, sexy and heart warming. We also learn more about Beth and Nick in this book and find out that Book 3 in this series will be about them. I'm already counting the days until fall when I can read their story

    AWFUL!!

I am amazed that people gave this 5 stars. They must be friends with the writer. How many times can you call someone "baby"? I also think this writer never met a cliche that and didn't like! I am an avid reader and have never wanted to not finish a book more than this one.

    Loved EVERY single page!

I read this book in a day and a half; I just couldn't put it down. I fell in love with all the characters. First book to bring me to tears wanting Suzy to finally land her soul mate. After reading Required Weekends I purchased this book that same night and found myself hooked on the characters, the plot developments, and all the esquisite detail. I felt like I was along for the ride hoping Suzy would get her fairytale ending. After reading both books I can't wait to see what happens to Beth...thankfully Fall is just around the corner and I can pick up the next chapter.
