Overview

Each title in the Not Your Mother's Book series contains approximately 60 real-life stories dedicated to a unique theme, drawn from the passion and experience of dozens of writers in a whimsical and entertaining mix of irreverence and humor. Founded by former coauthors and editors of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, this similarly styled anthology series foregoes the sad, sappy, preachy, or death-oriented stories that were that series' hallmark, and unlike that series, is never afraid to be a little risqué. These stories are funny, daring, different, and smart.

This book’s contributors—mostly Baby Boomers—each write about being a stupid kid and doing outlandish things. These are antics that would probably land some of them in jail today, but they all lived to share their stories in this very funny and entertaining book . . . but don't let your kids read it!

Funny, funny book! You will identify with some of these stories, although you may not want to write about it. Childhood came roaring back as I read the many creative stories, from extremely talented writers. You won't want to put this one down!

I laughed till I leaked. Driving on ice? check. Wrecking socks? check. Climbing on the roof? oh yes! I usually like to read a good short story before going to sleep at night. But this book kept me wanting to read the next story. I would NEVER admit to most of these things! Some people really have GUTS!

Hey we've all done stupid things...and this book shares some of the funniest ones. It's amazing humans make it to adulthood. A great collection by very talented writers. But with material like this how could they go wrong. You might not want your kid's to read this, it might give them bad ideas...lol

You might not want to admit you were a stupid kid, but the writers in this anthology did! You will howl with laughter when you find out some ot the crazy things they did. I'll bet they don't want their kids to know half these things! What a fun book to read. If you are looking for a good laugh, this is it.
