USA Today Bestselling author Christie Ridgway delivers a delightfully romantic and emotional novel about the power of love, sisterhood, and community in NOTHING BUT BLUE SKIES.

Innkeeper Zoe Cash loves the life she shares with her beloved younger sister, welcoming guests to their hillside abode on Abrigo Island off the Southern California coast. She has everything she needs, even a hobby as a local--if not particularly successful--matchmaker. After weathering a personal storm, it looks like only sunny days ahead...until one wounded man arrives and threatens the perfect bubble she's constructed around herself. He's making her want, well, more.

Astronaut Yeager Gates escapes to the island and the charming inn looking for nothing but a place to heal before getting back to his high-octane life. He's not made for sitting still any more than he's made for long-term romance, though intriguing Zoe Cash is tempting him to turn all his set-in-stone plans on their head.

In this unique locale, surrounded by sun, sea, and well-meaning family and friends, two people learn to face their fears and realize that falling in love might just be worth the risk.

Nothing But Blue Skies by Christie Ridgeway...Is a wonderful book that I could not put down, it held my attention from page one until the end. The story has everything I look for in my romance novels, family, friends, romance and love. The chemistry between Zoe and Yeager was off the charts and to make it even better there are two romances in this story. Christie Ridgway is one of my go to authors she never disappoints. Make sure to grab a copy and read it, you will love it. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was completely captivated by this book. It was new to me, although I understand it is a reissue, and I absolutely loved the story. We actually have four main characters. Zoe and her younger sister, Lyssa live on Abrigo Island and operate a bed & breakfast there. Yeager Gates is an astronaut who was injured in a traffic accident and needs to recuperate fully. His friend, Deke Nielsen, has inherited property on Abrigo and suggests to Yeager that the two of them go to the island. The sisters have gone through a lot of tragedy and heartbreak in their short lives and Zoe is very protective of Lyssa. Yeager Gates and Deke Nielsen are definitely not looking for relationships and it’s very entertaining to see how it all unfolds. The characters are complex and relatable. The emotions created by the story ranged from laughing out loud in a room all by myself to heartbreaking tears for the emotional pain these people are experiencing. This book was an exceptional journey and I can’t wait for her next one.

I've read thousands of books in my lifetime and this is one of the most enjoyable books I've read. We got two beautiful love stories in one. Two sisters running a Bed and Breakfast on a small island; two friends visiting from the mainland....one to fix up a deceased uncle's house, the other recovering from a serious accident. There is instant chemistry between each of the couples and their journeys are certainly eventful and interesting. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a pleasurable read.

Nothing But Blue Skies by Christie Ridgway is a wonderful romantic story exploring the importance power of love, sisterhood, and community. Zoe Cash loves her life on the island community of Abrigo, off the Southern California coast. She runs a hillside inn, keeps tabs on her sister, is involved in the island community, and is an occasional matchmaker. Yeager Gates, an injured astronaut, escapes to the island to heal and deal with his temporary blindness. I really enjoyed the manner in which Ms. Ridgway wrote her story around these two characters, yet include another story involving the secondary characters Lyssa, Zoe’s sister, and Deke, Yeager’s friend. It takes the Abrigo community of family and friends in order for Zoe and Yeager to face their fears and realize that falling in love is worth the risk. I highly recommend this book to all readers. I truly enjoyed this book and had trouble putting it down.

Abrigo Island has all the makings of home. Friendly residents, beautiful scenery and an environment centered around community, love and family. This island served as a place of healing for Yeager and a miraculous sanctuary for Zoe. Zoe has had a lot on her shoulders in the past couple of years dealing with her sisters health issues, the death of their parents and running a business but has found her hope bolstered and helping hands from the locals. Yeager has been forced to take it easy after an accident that has affected his daily routine. As he contemplates his options on his next step after his forced rest, doubts creep in about whether he can get back to his own life. I received a copy of Nothing But Blue Skies by Christie Ridgway in exchange for an honest review. Ms. Ridgway brought it all with this inspirational and read. Twice the romance, emotional writing and a happy ending. The hidden message: Live to the fullest. Learn from the trials faced. Love like everyday is precious to you. Because it is.

This was an absolute gem. I was captivated from the beginning. I have decided I want to live on Abrigo Island. If Zoe and Lyssa decide to sell Haven House I will buy it. I liked that we got two romances within this entertaining story. Zoe the island matchmaker was ready to fix these two newcomers up with some women in town but fate stepped in and decided it was time for Zoe to have a romance of her own. Yeager, hot astronaut, needed some place to recoup from an accident which has left him blind. I liked this romance because Zoe needed someone gentle in which to fall in love with and trust. Yeager on the other hand needed to learn to accept that he may never be able to go into space again. Yeager was a goner from the beginning but just didn’t know it. Along with the magic that these two have there was just something a little more magical with the romance between Lyssa and Deke. I seemed to like these two just a little bit more. Lyssa carved her initials into a tree when she was younger under the initials of someone she didn’t know and carved a heart around them. From the time Lyssa saw him getting off of the ferry she was captivated. Almost twenty years older with a divorce behind him Deke wasn’t looking for romance. I just have to say the whole initials carved on the tree had me. Ms. Ridgeway gave us two very different romances but the same sweet, tender, hot, passion in both of them. Zoe and Lyssa despite what they had gone through were very feminine yet strong women that showed you don’t need a man but boy it sure is nice to have one. Especially Yeager and Deke who gave them what they needed and longed for. This book has just the right amount of heat and romance; perfect for a relaxing night or day with your drink of choice and say a comfy chair…

I love stories that include the place as a character. I definitely was smitten with Abrigo. It brought back memories from childhood of visiting Catalina Island and being on the west coast. I read this a week ago and have been trying to decide if I like Yeager or not. I'm still not sure. I get that he was a playboy, but to act affronted when Zoe wasn't that kind of girl...Maybe his lack of sight was an issue there since so much of that dance is body language. There was a little bit of mystical insta-love happening with the characters, although I'm not sure where that was coming from. I enjoyed the journey of seeing the characters learning to get past their own issues and find love. Free copy provided by CR's California Girls.

This book is set on Abrigo Island located off the coast of Southern California and tells the story of how sisters, Zoe & Lyssa, find love in a pair of guys, Yeager Gates and Deke Nielsen. Although the plot was predictable, I was charmed by the characters and really enjoyed this read. Thanks to CR's California Girls for the copy of this book.

I loved every single page of this book! The characters are so real, their tribulations so honest and the road to each other so conflicted that I could not set it down!! I laughed, I sulked and I cheered throughout this wonderful story....it's not to be missed!!

Zoe and Lyssa have been on Abrigo for the last 3 years. Lyssa has been recovering from cancer and Zoe has been hiding out. Yeager comes to the island to hide out and heal from his injuries with his friend Deke. Deke and Lyssa feel an instant attraction, but Deke fights it because he is so much older than Lyssa. Zoe knows that Yeager is just there temporarily and she doesn't want to get her heart involved because she doesn't want to lose anyone again. Zoe and Lyssa lost their parents just before Lyssa diagnosis. They all have to learn to trust and to let go.
