But now things have changed, and Karen’s no longer irritable. She’s furious.

Delightful, funny, exciting and not over done. Well written.

This book was for me, a welcome break in a series of rather similar works that, while engaging and well written, were nonetheless slowly diminishing my interest in reading during my spare time. The humor in this work is subtle and off key in a way that made me think, yet was also fun and light. The story line was definitely one that steps out of the norm and requires the reader to allow for 'a certain acceptance' that reality may not be what you generally assume. The author has wrought a realm that completely engulfs the reader in a world that is 'just enough different' that it is a vacation from the 'normal' day, without it being implausible or an obvious and jarring contradiction to what 'is'.
