Overview

Fan favorite Jess Michaels, whose first book, Everything Forbidden was chosen by Michelle Buonfiglio from Lifetime.com as the Best Historical Erotic Romance of 2007, returns with more sizzling hot erotica, Nothing Denied. Readers will adore this story of intense sensual adventure from an author who boldly takes historical romance to a steamy and sensational new place. If you like your love stories red hot and completely uninhibited, enter here—where erotic fantasy rules, where there’s nothing taboo…Nothing Denied!

They say he murdered his wife . . .

Entering her seventh unsuccessful season, Beatrice Albright is beginning to realize that her beauty cannot compensate for her shrewish ways. A desperate woman whom no one wants, she must seek a man whom no one else will marry: the despised and mysterious Marquis of Highcroft, Gareth Berenger. Rumor has it he is a killer, but Beatrice is far more terrified of spinsterhood—and the company of her mother—than she is of Berenger's dark reputation.

But Gareth, while intrigued by the alluring hellion's proposal, has a proposition of his own. A man of particular tastes, he will wed no woman unwilling to satisfy them. His bride must be adventurous, afraid of nothing, and eager to experience any passion and pleasure he can devise, no matter how shocking and taboo. If Beatrice agrees to a trial affair—if she can happily shed all her inhibitions—in the end they will be wed.

And so the die is cast—as Beatrice and Gareth embark on an erotic path where danger awaits them at every turn, en route to a world of exquisite ecstasy where there is nothing forbidden...nothing denied.

    more from this reviewer

readers will appreciate this exhilarating BDSM historical romance.

Six seasons without getting married for most members of the aristocracy denotes being on the shelf for a young woman. However optimistic Beatrice Albright decides to take the bull by the horn between the male legs before her seventh season begins and ultimately ends with her being a spinster.

Realizing her desperation Beatrice selects widower Marquis Gareth Berenger, who is a notorious "pariah" amidst the Ton as the gossips believe Highcroft murdered his late wife. Beatrice proposes a marriage of convenience that Gareth tentatively agrees to if she passes his well-matched sexual test as he has atypical desires. . He suggests a trial affair, so he can be sure that Beatrice can accept his special sexual needs. As he trains her in his passionate world of domination and submissiveness, she proves a willing passionate student. When love enters the trial, both knows they passed the test, but someone wants to end their bliss doing whatever it takes as this perpetrator did once before.

The latest Albright sister erotic Regency romance (see Everything Forbidden and Something Reckless) is a terrific tale due to a strong lead couple who both may be desperate but each has values that the refuse to cede. Beatrice is intrepid and earns Gareth's admiration for her courage and eventually his love. Likewise Beatrice has doubts about her brooding chosen one, but though he dominates her submissiveness, he is kind and caring and risks his life for his beloved. Though the villain is a bit over the top of Big Ben, readers will appreciate this exhilarating BDSM historical romance.

    I Also Recommend:

    Gareth & Beatrice...VERY EROTIC!!!

This is my first book with Jess Michaels and I absolutely loved it! Who would have thought that back in the Regency period in England that there would be such scandalous and erotic love scenes?!! I was intrigued by Gareth because you actually believed that behind his sexual endeavors that he really wanted someone to love and someone to love him in return for who he really was. Beatrice was actually funny to me because, although she was a "B", you wanted her to fall in love with Gareth, who was anything but her equal in "many things". Anyway, I really enjoyed this "non-conventional" historical romance and look forward to reading more from Jess Michaels.

Never Knew Historical Romance Could be so Exciting!

Great Characters! Beatrice is a stong woman and goes after what she thinks she wants but finds soooo much more. I started reading Historical Romance with Jess Michaels' Everything Forbidden and have not been disappointed with her books yet.

    This one was very sexual

Lots and lots of steamy sex scenes. The story line was good, but I'm not into the dominate/submissive stuff. That part wasn't over the top so I still give it 4 stars. This is the 3rd sister, therefore the 3rd book. It's worth reading the other 2 first. Love this aurhor, and the steamy scenes she writes!

not as good as the first two in the series

I loved the first two stories in this series and Jess Michaels writing is quite good. The story here felt a little forced however and it just wasn't developed enough. It seems like she started with some really great ideas for this series but has gotten bored or rushed or something when writing this one. The BDSM scenes are pretty exciting but I never really cared for the characters and the love angle of the story really didn't fit for me. I really don't think 169 pages of an ok story was worth $9.99.

The best out of the three

I loved Jess Michaels Albright Sister series. Each one with such intrigue and passion! I couldn't put it down. I love how her characters are so different, and really did a great job with the sister rivalry attitude. I was happy with the way she ending this book, but I wish the fourth sister got her own book too. Even though we find out what happens to the other sister I am still hoping that Michaels may write a story for her.

    Micheals doesn't disappoint

Jess Micheals writes the way she reads, taking all the fat and sometimes useless back stories and gives you only the juicy parts of the story. Its a good book if you are simply looking for a quick romantic read, or your not interested in true character development or storyline.
