Steve Beck writes beautifully. In Nothing Gold...he guides readers through the life of a North Carolina man, along with introducing us to the people who've shaped the man's life. I appreciate Beck's character development and the gentle way he describes tough life lessons. I did not want this book to end. That's a good sign!
