Lexi Titan has mastered the art of pretending everything's fine. After all, how else could she ignore the fact that her husband is never home, her son barely knows him and the last time she had sex, well, who can remember? With her life crumbling, the last thing she wants to do is go on a trip, especially back to Vegas; a city full of glitz, excess, and Leo, the man she's spent the last six years trying to forget. But when her best friend announces she's getting married, Lexi doesn't have a choice. Besides, it's ridiculous to avoid an entire city because of one guy. Even if he is the father of your child.

Face to face with memories of the past and the gorgeous man who started it all, Lexi can no longer deny the truth to anyone, especially Leo. But honesty will come at a price, and Lexi must decide if she's willing to take that risk. And what exactly will she tell her husband? Because as she now knows, NOTHING STAYS IN VEGAS.

First things first - this is a well written novel, comfort food

First things first - this is a well written novel, comfort food for the heart. If you're having a bad day, or a bad year in your own love life, this is a good book to read, telling you that bad marriages aren't the end of the world, that sometimes one-night flings are more than flings.
"Vegas" flows smoothly and has an engaging heroine. Lexi is a good girl - in that old fashioned sense of the word. She honors commitments, and she doesn't jump into bed because she's in a strange town a long way from home. She's in a bad place in her marriage. She goes to Vegas and meets a nice guy. Which Leo is. Hot. Sexy. Loving. But a nice guy. It's easier to be nice, of course, if you're a hunk and hot. But, hey, hunks need love too!
There are the inevitable complications because, let's face it, without them you'd have a dull, if sweet, much shorter novel. So (spoiler alert) Lexi goes back to hubby, lives a lie for six years, and eventually has to decide if she'll stay with hubbie or go with the hunk.
The only flaw is the stick figure villain of the husband. The best novels of love - not formula romances - create a real conflict for the heroine. There is none here. Hubbie Andrew is the ultimate loser. Not much good in bed, not a good father, not a good husband. Why does Lexi stay with him for six years. That's the only false note. If Lexi had had any feeling for him, if Andrew had had even a remote shot at keeping his wife, you'd have a story. But it would be a different story.
So for what the author attempted, this is a very good, four star.

    A sparkling debut!

Nothing Stays In Vegas is a fantastic debut novel from author Elena Aitken. The characters are likeable and I was rooting for Lexi and Leo from the very start. If you like women's fiction with a side of contemporary romance, this story will capture your attention and keep you turning pages quickly until the very end.

I am so glad I got the opportunity to read a book by Elena Aitke

I am so glad I got the opportunity to read a book by Elena Aitken and only sorry I haven’t done so early.
Nothing Stays in Vegas was such a great book you didn’t want to put it down. It was a story of a women, Lexi,
and her best friend, Nicole, going to Vegas for a girls week-end. Lexi meets a good-looking man, Leo, who
does what every women wants, swept her off her feet by listening to her and telling her beautiful she is so she
does what everyone in Veges does a one-night stand. But for her and him it wasn’t a one-night stand in their
hearts. When circumstances happen beyond their control, they don’t see each other again for many years.
The author does a marvelous job of switching from Lexi and Leo in narrating the story. It keeps the story
moving and interesting in getting both characters thoughts. Also, all of the characters in the book are so well
developed you feel like you know them personally and laughed and cried with them. One caution, if you are a
romantic you will totally fall in love with Leo!!!
