Meet the Author

John Walters is a staff writer at Sports Illustrated on Campus, which is distributed to Division I college campuses, and has worked at its parent magazine, Sports llustrated, since 1989. A 1988 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Walters co-authored Basketball for Dummies with former Fighting Irish basketball coach Digger Phelps and is the author of The Same River Twice: A Season with Geno Auriemma and the Connecticut Huskies. He lives in New York City.

Chris Millard is vice president of Kestrel Communications, a television and video production company based in Atlanta, Georgia. Previously, he was Director of Communications at Golden Bear International before becoming Executive Editor of Senior Golfer magazine. He spent three years as an Executive Editor in the GOLF Magazine Properties division of Times Mirror Magazines. Recently, Chris co-authored a book with Jack Nicklaus, Nicklaus By Design: Golf Course Strategy and Architecture (Harry N. Abrams, Inc. November 2002, ISBN: 0810932490).
