This is an outstanding depiction of what it would've been like to actually 'be there' for Notre Dame's hi-flying successes in college football from 1964-74. The anecdotes are vivid, but even more so are the strategic insights - eg., how ND became the 1st team ever to beat the then-revolutionary 'Wishbone T' backfield formation (created by Texas's Darryl Royal) in the 1971 Cotton Bowl.
