Overview

Fall is an ever-popular season for knitters, and with November Knits you can knit warm and stylish garments and accessories to make the season a little cozier. Popular knit designers and authors, Courtney Kelley and Kate Gagnon Osborn, join forces with all-star contributors, including Melissa LaBarre, Cirilia Rose, Cecily Glowik McDonald, Kristen TenDyke, and many more.

Capture the essence of fall with 23 projects that range from casual cardigans and scarves to sweet, stylish wraps and sweaters. The book is divided into three moods:

  • Farm Hands is the most casual design section, filled with rustic and durable garments to shield you through afternoons of brisk winds.
  • Ivy League focuses on sophisticated and smart knitwear, featuring bold colors and classic styling.
  • Southern Comfort is ideal for holidays and special occasions that call for slightly dressier garments, featuring elegant knitted lace.
With knitted garments and accessories by expert designers, November Knits is a must-have resource this year.

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Osborn and Kelley's (cofounders, Kelbourne Woolens; Vintage Modern Knits) newest collection is inspired by late autumn—when the weather is starting to cool, but people aren't sick of winter quite yet. This time out, Osborn and Kelley invited a number of other popular and up-and-coming designers, such as Gudrun Johnston and Veera Välimäki, to contribute to the collection. True to both the season and the authors' aesthetic, the garments and accessories featured in the book are classic and cozy, yet flattering. The designs are best suited to knitters comfortable with cables, lace, colorwork, and shaping knits to fit, although basic information on each technique is provided. VERDICT Knitters who enjoyed Osborn and Kelley's previous collection will be interested in their latest book—as will fans of the other featured designers.

    Beautiful patterns, well written

This book is filled with patterns that are lovely, even if you just want an exact reproduction of the pattern presented. What sold me on the book, though, is that most, if not all, of the patterns presented are good springboards for modification and/or personalization of the item, to allow you creativity.
