Now a Bride is what fans of New York Times bestselling author Mary Balogh’s Mistress series have been clamoring for: more passion and more drama featuring the Dudley siblings.

In anticipation of the enticing third book in the Mistress trilogy, The Secret Mistress, here are never-before-published scenes from More than a Mistress and No Man’s Mistress—plus Mary Balogh’s new epilogue for the series.

• JOCELYN AND JANE: Three new scenes—“The Proposal,” “The Wedding,” and “Return to Acton Park”—spark more fiery passion from charmingly arrogant Jocelyn and spirited Jane.

• FERDINAND AND VIOLA: Two unpublished scenes—“The Wedding” and “Home to Pinewood Manor”—prove once again that this unlikely but perfect couple is made for each other.

• THE REUNION: FIVE YEARS LATER: Enjoy a brand-new chapter that reunites readers with all three Dudley couples and their children and answers every fan’s biggest question: What happened after the last page was turned?

NEW: The enchanting prequel to the Mistress series! Readers got to know madcap Angeline and straitlaced Edward through the romantic adventures of the Dudley brothers.

But Angeline and Edward have their own story of passion to tell in The Secret Mistress.

It's not a "short story" at all, but a series of segments from other Balogh books!

I love this author and absolutely enjoyed: more than a mistress, no man's mistress and the secret mistress. However, this short story was just overkill.

It is like going to the show and you have to sit thru a car agency ad for a used car. Don't waste your money. The last 20 pages or so are a coming attraction for a old book being dug up and reprinted. Shame on your Mary Balogh.

Not a short story, just excerpts from previous books. What a disappointment. Don't waste your dollar.

Mary Balogh is probably my favorite romance author. This short read was a great little addition to some of her previous work and is like icing on the cake for me. It was one of the first Nook books I ordered to see how that works and it was fast, easy and and enjoyable read.

Then I would have know this epilogue for the entire series is included with that book and would not have wasted money on this purchase.

Shame on the author. I am a big Mary Balogh fan and this was not a story, but a way to make a quick buck. If she felt the need to tell every detail of the how and why, then put it in the orginal book.

Mary Balogh books draw you in and I cannot put them down. They take me away to a different time and place from the real world of work and family. The characters in her books become part of you while you read. New Bride is not different than her other books and series.

I should have believed the reviews. I do love her stories but this was really a rip-off.

I just love Mary Balogh's books. This is a great addition to the three book series. If I had this when I read the books, it would have been a great asset to understanding the "rest of the story".

this is not a "book". It is 2 additional chapters from two different books that came out 10 years ago so remembering the original was difficult and the whole thing was disappointing

There is no short story just additional chapters to the existing mistresses books. This should have been free. Would have given zero stars if possible.
