Overview

Sometimes Carrie Blake feels she just can't stand  life's problems or pain. At fifteen, she's had  leukemia for three years, and although the disease is  in remission, she's never sure when things might  change. Her parents, whose bitter divoce has left  Carrie feeling torn between them, don't seem to  understand how much harder they make her daily  life.

When Carrie meets Keith Gardner at a  cancer support group, everything seems brighter.  Keith and his loving supportive family are  wonderful to Carrie. Then Keith's illness worsens and he  knows he can no longer fight off dying. Armed with  love of family and friends, Keith chooses to  participate in a hospice program, which allows him to  remain at home instead of in the hospital. Carrie  feels helpless as she watches Keith slip away. Will  Keith's courage help Carrie to face her own  uncertain future?

This book really touched my heart, I think i cried soo many times. But not out of anger or fear, but out of love, joy, and happiness. I am only 13 years old, so this book really helped me learn to never take anything for granted and live life to the fullest while we are alive. If you havent read this book, i highly encourage you to read it, it will change your idea of things in an extreme way!!

This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. It was extremely hard to stop reading after I began. ¿'Now I lay me down to sleep' is one of those books I would say is for teenage girls, because it is what their going through in life at that age. BOYS!!!! You'll put yourself in place of the young girl and not want it to be over with.

I enjoyed the book 'Now I lay me down to sleep' because this book has strong multi-dimensional emotions. The way in which Keith's life affects Carrie's not only socially but also emotionally. During the present in which their living to the future of her life. CONGRATULATIONS to the author for her hard work in writing this book for us to read.I wish it had a continuation book so I could read what happened to Carrie.

This is an awesome book! I cried so hard. The courage that Keith shows is amazing! I think that Lurlene should write a book to go with this one because it doesn't seem to have a complete ending.Either way it's still a way awesome book.
