Virgin, with help from Polygram and Universal, launched a U.S. series of the same name in late 1998. This was just as singles -- in the physical, buyable sense -- began to be phased out in the marketplace. The first volume covers hits of several stripes from the ...

This was just as singles -- in the physical, buyable sense -- began to be phased out in the marketplace. The first volume covers hits of several stripes from the past year and a half or so, with rock Lenny Kravitz' "Fly Away," Hanson's "MMMBop," Fastball's "The Way", R&B Brian McKnight's "Anytime," Janet Jackson's "Together Again," K-Ci & JoJo's "All My Life", and dance-pop Aqua's "Barbie Girl," the Spice Girls' "Say You'll Be There," All Saints' "Never Ever" covered rather equally. It was a ho-hum period for popular music, especially where mainstream rock is considered. Don't blame the compilers of this set.

    Now!

I got this cd a few years ago. It is so great! I would listen to it a lot except my friend is borrowing it. But, when I could listen to it , I listened to it non-stop. The weird thing is the cd is so great, but each time a new Now comes out, it gets even better. At least in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I like every singer on this album but music keeps on getting better. I think most people will agreee with me on that. You know because everyone improves on everything(most of the time). Well, I just can't wait until Now 7 comes out. I collect cd's, so I have every Now cd there is. So when a new one comes out, get it! I am almost positive it is going to be absolutely great. Will any cd with a bunch of music like this be better? No-no uh-uh. With the exception of Totally Hits. Both of them are good. Well see ya!
