Number One Hits of 50's

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Number One Hits of the 50's contains ten songs that don't really have anything to do with each other, apart from the fact they were hits in the '50s. Still, that's more of a theme than some other budget-line collections, and when a record features such classics as "Running Bear," "It's Only Make Believe," "It's All in the Game," "The Tennessee Waltz," "Honeycomb," "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes," "Teen Angel" and "Party Doll," plus Georgia Gibbs' obscurity "Kiss of Fire," it's worth its budget price.
