Overview

Kids slide panels into view and learn basic concepts! This "Concept Sliders" book is filled with big, bright, color illustrations that teach toddlers how to count birds, mice, chicks, fish, flowers, bees, and snakes. An amusing illustration on every page contains a pair of windows, one window presenting a small slide device that goes back and forth, and the other window located as part of an incomplete but easy-to-understand statement or a question. When kids move the slide device, they also move a word into the statement window. That word either completes the statement or answers the question for them. Here is an entertaining way for preschoolers to teach themselves fundamental concepts. Color illustrations on every page.

Editorial Reviews

Publishers Weekly
In a quartet of chunky board books by Colin Petty, a narrow "window" slides on every page to elaborate on the theme: Opposites; Shapes; Numbers; and Colors. On a spread in the first book, two dogs appear opposite one another: "Bonzo's bone is.../ big," printed in large type; "Pooch's bone is... / small," printed in tiny type.
