Overview

This monograph on the physics of dielectrics explains the determination of the kind and computation of the values of the distribution function of dielectric relaxation times, a form of intermolecular interaction in polar substances. Generally accepted procedures of processing dielectrics measurements data are presented. A procedure for computing the values of the real spectrum of relaxation times is developed on the basis of Tikhonov regularization for mathematical processing of experimental results. They illustrate the procedure by analyzing experimental data obtained for oligocarbonatemethacrylates and related three-dimensional polymers. Annotation (c)2003 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
