Each chapter begins with student objectives and a quote that highlights the content of the chapter. Chapters also contain critical thinking boxes, creative cartoons, and thought-provoking questions. This edition has expanded material on nursing management and a new chapter on emergency preparedness. Included for faculty are a web-based instructor's manual, a test bank, and other instructional aids through Evolve.
