The Step Into Reading series is a very fun way to get kids excited about books they can read. This is an appropriate Step Into Reading level 3 book. It has quite a few words per page and a cohesive story. This book follows the Nutcracker story we are familiar with fairly well. The illustrations are good and make the book enjoyable for children of many ages. The illustrations are drawn well and the colors are realistic. It will appeal to a broad range of viewers. My toddler loves ballet and loves to read this book. I would suggest this book to fans of the ballet, story, or those just starting to read.
